Soooo...The wedding is three weeks away and I'm realizing WOW! That's not far off. haha So I've looked through hairstyles and I've figured out which one I want and I picked out a few for my bridesmaids. They all have fairly short hair, but I though it'd be cute if they just had loose curls and flowers in their hair. So, the pictures sow, my hairstyle and then a bunch of different ones for the girls to choose from!

So for the never dying tradition, I will be wearing my great-grandmother's engagement ring (something old)I've loved that ring since I was a kid so I'm pumped I get to wear it on my wedding day!.

I don't know what I'm wearing for something new yet.

I will be borrowing my sister-in-law Lisa's pearls for the something borrowed!

And something blue will be my garter.. I know original. ha



p.s. no I'm not showing a picture of my dress. It's a surprise!!

So we're lucky enough to be having my best friend's grandmother to make our cake. It's gonna be a rounded 4 tier cake with calla lilies decorating the top instead of cake toppers.

So a friend of ours is letting us borrow his camp out on Kingsbury Pond here in Maine. It's not any exotic honeymoon but for our budget right now it's perfect and I'm so excited! It'll be awesome to just relax with my new husband :) And then maybe on our 1 year anniversary we'll take the Jamaican vacation we've been wanting forever!

So, our engagement ring problem is solved :) I hadn't had it done yet because we couldn't afford it and it wasn't top priority to me but my mom said she'd give me her ring from my father and since it's just sitting in her jewelry box she said she would pass it on to me.

Then, we picked out our wedding bands and they are awesome! Andre's is a tungston ring. It's thick and heavy and durable so that it fits his big man hands. haha.

My wedding band is just a white gold band with etching on the edges. I'm probably gonna get a wrap to go with my mom's engagement ring since it's a solitaire.

YAY!

So we've decided to add a rememberance table for all the loved ones we wish could be there. We'll have pictures of my grandfather, uncle and Andre's grandparents and his nephew.

I thought it would be a nice touch for our families and such.

I've changed my mind again. Everyone is having Calla Lilies. My bridesmaids are having a few white calla lilies. My maid of honor, Jaci will have a bouquet of light pink calla lilies. and I will have a mix of the pink and white. They are simple and classy and GORGEOUS! :)

So, there's been a change of plans and now we're getting married in the courtyard at the Ramada Inn. It'll be an outside ceremony (obviously) which is what we originally wanted. I PRAY IT DOESN'T RAIN!

The photography will be done by my wonderful cousin Anne. She lives in London and is an AMAZING photographer. She's coming home JUST for the wedding and I couldn't be happier!

We have picked out our invitations and we're having our friend's David and Edge design them. This is the idea of what we want. We thought they were different and pretty cool.

We finally finished the guest list. We're inviting 180 to the ceremony and the reception MEAL. But then after the meal we're inviting more people to come. It's just so hard to pay for over 200 people! ha. But we thought this was a fair enough decision.

Well, picking my wedding party was fairly easy. We're having a somewhat small wedding party and so we picked our closest friends. We might change our mind later but right now, it seems to be working out fine.

My maid of honor will be my best friend soul mate Jaci! :) She's already helped out so much! I love her for it!

My bridesmaids will be my youngest sister Michaela, my cousin Alaina and my other best friend Kelly!

My flower girl will be Kelly's daughter Madison (MJ) and I'm so excited. She's ALMOST 2 and she will be ADORABLE as my flower girl.

For Andre's best man, he has chosen his childhood neighbor/best friend Gabe to be there for him. He was very excited when he found this out.

Andre's groomsman will be Don ( a good, close friend of ours), Kyle (another friend) and Andre's Pepere. I thought that was cool of Andre to have his grandfather as a groomsman!

It happened on New Year's Eve this year! We were driving home finally after the ball had dropped and we drove down passed the house I grew up in. I thought Andre was just taking a detour like he usually does. Well, we pulled over on the side of the road, parked right in front of the front porch of me old house. I looked at it, looked at him and he grabbed my hand and popped the question! Me being the person I am, told him to shut up because I thought he was kidding around. Then I realized he was serious and burst into tears telling him I didn't think this day would ever come!And it has! The funny thing is something I have never told him. As a little kid, growing up in the house I grew up in, I had always wanted to be proposed to on the front porch steps of my house. Well, when my parents sold the house, that was obviously just remaining a dream. So, he didn't even know that and proposed to me right on the side walk in front of my old porch! I'm soo happy! We have so much planning to do within these next 6 months!
