Deneanrae is pregnant!!
Hey girls! Its been 8 months since I was married and since then things have been really great. Im finished my degree and recently I just found out im PREGGERS! It was a bit of a shock and I have yet to go to the doctor to confirm a due date but Im thinking it will be sometime around early December. My husband and I are both very excited but definitly nervous.. we really didnt plan kids for another year but I guess life has different plans for us! Im thinking im about 6-8 weeks now so fingers crossed we make it through the first trimester! Hope everyone is well! I miss you gals tons!!!

First xmas as a married woman!
I wanted to wish all my fellow WBC ladies a very very very merry christmas and a happy 2011. And for all your 2011 brides! WOOHOOOOO. I know for myself... this time last year, the wedding was the last thing on my mind and i went january-febuary with really not doing too much lol, one big lull!
this year, J and I are celebrating our first christmas as a married couple.. and what better way to start the holidays off then with a wedding! My aunt and uncle are getting married today (christmas eve). Kinda crazy but we see the whole family anyways! MERRY CHRISTMAS! |

My rock the dress bridal portraits!
WOW guys... its been so long! I try to come on and see how things are going, comment on a few posts but i have just been so busy with my last year of college. It also different once you get married.... of course your not planning anymore but also my interest in wedding related things has drastically decreased. I will be part of my Friends bridal party which is for October 8, 2011 and her colors are purple and grey, so I plan on posting about that a bit in the future.
ANYWAYS! I took my "trash the dress" photos a few weeks ago and just got my photos in the mail today. I no longer refer to it was a trash the dress shoot...cuz i didnt trash it... more just rocked out in it. I had so much fun and the only regrets i have were not trashing it even more. I went in the river a bit but it was so cold and the waters were to dangerous to go in further. I wish I just went all the way! but i got some great pics and its always fun to have an excuse to get all glammed up again! Let me know what you think. |

My Wedding Flowers
The real thing!
I wanted to post on my flowers that we had on our wedding day. They were not what I actually wanted.... I asked for romantic, big and loose... kinda like peonies. I had one rule.... no roses. My florist convinced me to use cabbage roses, which dont really look like traditonal roses but instead like peonies (peonies were not in season), as well as zinnias and rannucles. Also, the Maid of honor and my bouqet were to be diff shades then that of the girls. When i got my flowers they were all the same shade (no biggie), and they were almost all roses! WTH, with no rannucles!. I was pissed off but got over it quick. they looked really nice and only i knew the difference, but i was just so mad that she couldnt get it right! ERG. They looked so striking with the blue dresses..just what i envisioned! So anyways i wanted to share my pro flower pics with y'all despite them being wrong haha.
BTW: at the end of the night the groomsmen destroyed all the bouquets and flowers covered the floor. Not impressed! |

Today I did my trash the dress session! it was sooooo much fun and i didnt really trash it haha. Anyways more on that when i get the pics back! My photographer gave me our CD of final pro pics and im so happy! I wish i got some more details of the reception itself and of the tables and head table but o well. Im trashing my dress!
this weekend
I cant wait to get payback on my damn dress lol. As pretty and nice as it was... it gave me grief, tears and uncomfort all night long...so this is my official chance to get back at it HAHA. Im doing my trash the dress session this weekend and it feels so weird but so exciting. I think it will be odd to get back in my dress! I hope the pictures turn out ok tho..im super nervous. I decided to do this because:
1) I realized a dress that has been worn...even one day is not worth reselling, the boning gets distorted and the dress ripped. 2) You cant make much money from it anyways 3) I dont want to keep it in a little box for 20 years. 3) You can just dry clean it! You have to anyways. my dress got so dirty at my reception and the train is black underneath lol 4) It will be soooo much fun and great pics 5) Im not so attached to my dress after my wedding. It was a headache and i feel odly ok with trashing it lol Is anyone else doing a trash the dress shoot? and what props are you using? im wondering if i should bring anything with me. Also, Do you have any websites you can share with me of inspiration for TTD shoots? Im taking pics in the river valley! |

IM A BRIDESMAID!
My friend/bridesmaid meg got engaged a few months ago which is ubber exciting. A few days ago she asked me to be one of her three bridesmaids. I didnt honestly expect it tho cuz she has said all along that she only wants to have two, which is her twin sister and her longtime friend. So when she asked me I was shocked and estatic! I am so excited for them and cant wait to plan and all that for another wedding...this time not my own! WOOHOOO. Im gonna be the best bridesmaid ever lol. Im still trying to convince her to join WBC but it may take some convincing... wedding blogs are fun!
So im wondering...have you ever been a bridesmaid? and if so how many times? Or are you like me and only the bride never the bridesmaid hahaha. |
