How did FH and YOU meet?

I really did meet my FH in a bar! LOL! Totally hte first guy I ever met in a bar, and last too lol! I walked up to him as he was ordering beers for him and his boys, and stole his beer. From then on we were together!!

well I was in need of a new mattress so my sister told me about this guys that she ordered a bed from 3 years earlier (she went to school with him too) well I called him and ordered a bed from him.. and he has not left since! lol.  His son actually was with him when he delivered me my mattress and he left his t-ball hat there.. so I left a note in the hat saying thank you for the mattress and told him to give me a call if he ever wanted to hang out. . He came and got the hat the next morning (I wasnt home) and he called me that weekend!

I was in school full time and working full time and I'm totally socially inept so trying to meet people by going out just wasn't going to happen.  

I put an ad on craigslist just looking for someone to hangout with, get a couple drinks with and I ended up meeting FH.  Our first meeting was at a 24 hour restaurant around midnight. I had gotten called into work that evening and didn't get off until 11 I ran home and showered quickly and met him.  We didn't leave until 6 am! To top it off he was in school at the time and had to go back at the end of the month so we spent all of August 2008 together.  We didn't go more than 2 days without seeing each other because he figured if it was going to work out, he wanted to know before he went back to school.
4 months later I moved in with him and we decided to get married! He is literally my other half.  He finishes my sentences, knows how to answer a question before I ask it, everything.  We're totally on the same wavelength and we don't fight.  Ever.

we met before freshman year of high school. we took PE class during the summer and stood right next to each other in line. then we had classes together throughout high school then finally started dating senior year :) haha.

MySpace, baby!  And now neither of us use it.  Ahhhh, the good ol' days.  :)

I don't let him forget that I found HIM.

we met at a christmas party at a mutual friends house and both were very drunk.

air cadets when I was 14 :) We dated for about a year and then broke up... we always called each other on birthdays and christmas. But then 6 years later, college was going horribly and I felt like I was losing my identy, so I called him up and said I was coming to visit. I needed a blast from the past to revive who I really was. That was 5 years ago and we get married in 3 months :)

I love this post! Matt and I met at a bar too. He was the bartender and I was the drunk patron :) and it was love at first sight for me. I literally had that "everything stopped and moved in slow motion moment" when i saw him!

Ready for this craziness ladies, my opening "drunk" line was:
"So when do you think we'll have our first kiss?" Good huh?

disclaimer: This is sooo not me anymore. I am now a calm normal God-loving woman. lol!

My fiance and I have a very unique story--
I have known Steve my whole life, but we didn't start dating until we were 15 years old. Its a funny story how things all got started...his mother and my mother were roommates in the hospital when they had us. His twin brother was born, he was born, and then I was born shortly after. Everyone tells us we were destined to be together from the start. We went to preschool together and after that I moved away. We sitll went to the same church but barely saw eachother. When we were in high school we officially started dating and have been together ever since! When we were younger we use to always hope to run into eachother and we would always tell our people about our "friend" who was born in the same hospital room!

We met at our local McD.! lol.
I was in line to order w/my son & he was behind us.
When I was getting the drinks, he walked up to me, asked if I had a BF, asked my name & he shook my hand, etc. He asked for my number but he didnt have a pen or his phone on him, so he tried to remember it. & to my surprise he DID! He called me & been together since! We dated for 2 months before he proposed!
We are already married but planning our wedding!

I met my FH online also ...we actually met on Plenty of Fish... I was a lil embaressed at first to tell people but after 4 years im ok with it now..we actualy laugh about it all the time.

My love and I met @ the gym. He truly seen me at my worst sweaty,no make up, sweats and a hoodie. He was only guy to ever try to talk to me at the gym I was like "r u serious? " but I kept his number and SO HAPPY I did one of the best things I ever did!

Fh and I met online as well! We met on Plenty of Fish. It was meant to be and I believe we were supposed to find each other some how and we did :)

LMAO!!!! I love you ladies, but we all have the most non-romantic stories! lol, but we got a man!! wahoo!!


Can't wait to hear you tell the grandkids about how you picked up grandpa online, lol!!

I joke that I bought him for $53.40 online.

Deneanrae, this is a repeat from fierygurl's post, but I thought I'd post my story here too :). I love that so many people met their sweetie online! My cousin met her now hubby on lavalife.

I met my fiance Chris during the whole SARS ordeal. I had taken a summer job as a SARS Screener at a hospital, after being turned down for a different job that I had my heart set on, and I was planning to work as much as I could to make money for school. I was pretty lonely because it had been two years since I broke it off with my ex and I definitely was not expecting to find love at work of all places. Well it was meant to be that I didn't get that job offer because Chris was also a Screener, and we fell in love (he thought I was pretty even in those dreadful masks!).

We have been friends from college for a while and he's dated other women as well, but for some reason he was drawn back to me. He would ask me questions and ways to make things better about relationships etc., same for me . I asked him several times on how to deal with my ex too. We've always talked, but as friends only. One day, he asked me out because I had just broken it off with my ex and he was there to uplift my spirits and take me out to movie and dinner. I remember that night all so well. Very nice and we talked for over 5 hours that night until the sun came up. We didn't even kiss each other good morning.

I met Mark at University. His friend tried to pick up my friend at the library, she thought he was funny about it and they kept in touch. They came to visit us one day at residence. We were then super close friends for 10+ years before I realized everything I wanted was right there, in the form of one of my best friends. :) :)

lol macbride... its so funny you were sars scanners... what a romantic story! lol... i love your guys stories, they make me happy

Ha My FH was my Boss... He was the GM of a movie/theater bowling ally.. and I was the little cashier. He was totally not my type .. got drunk... called him and my other boss to come get me.. started hanging out with them and the rest is history!! Couldn't ask for a better person to love me!!!

I met Nick when he was working at Fry's Electronics.  He was driving a remote control car, and was trying to purposely circle my feet with the car to make me notice him!  After a while we became really good friends.  After 3 years of friendship, and other relationships gone bad..we dated..and I truly fell in love with my best friend.  The switch flipped in both of our brains when I went away to Hawaii for school.  Life was not the same being separated from him!  And now here we are 7 (going on 8 years) later, and I can truly say I am so lucky to marry my best friend in the entire world!

My coworker went on maternity leave, so they brought in a new person to replace her. That person was Mr. Brett. We worked 12 hour shifts, so we REALLy got to know each other well. About a month later, he asked me out to lunch.
By the time my coworker came back from maternity leave, we were already in love!

deneanrae   .. LOL ... HELL NO!! After we started getting serious!! He was no longer fun to work with lol cuz I had to be treated the same as the other co-workers.. Which is totally understandable! I found a new job soon after!

Whoa... a few onliners here. It so is the norm now! Denearae, I am now convinced that we are sistas just in different countries. ;) Same color scheme, similiar style and now similar "meet" stories. My hubby and I met on HotorNot.com -- yes this is a real website. Yay for online!!!! I met my FH on a local dating site myfoxphoenix.com.....he was not my type....but we hit it off so well! Our first date was like 7 hours long.

@sbbride......all of my family still doesn't know we met online. my FH is totally ok w/ I'm getting there!

For how Nick and I met, I truly believe it was a total set up, and meant to be!

My mom moved to Alberta (i'm in sask) in my grade 12 year, I was in a lot of extracurricular groups and had important positions in all of them and didn't want to turn my back on them, or leave my friends for that matter! So a distant cousin in my class talked to his dad and they let me live with them for the remainder of the school year.

One Friday night (at 10:30...)my cousin and his friend were drunk and wanted to go to a party (in Nick's town) so they came into my room to wake me to drive them...yes I was sleeping at 10:30 on a friday night my senior year...nerd I know. So I was a little irritated but I hadn't gone out for a long time and I was working four jobs so I figured I deserved to go have some fun. So I got outta bed threw my hair in a pony tail and put on some decent clothes. No make up or anything!

The party was a big bon fire party on top of a valley...I was walking from one side of the fire to the other when I heard someone say "hey....who are you?" I turned around to see some much younger looking kid was the one saying it so I just kept walking, then Nick yelled "hey what's your name!?" I don't know how I didn't notice him on the first yell but I didn't want that kid to think i was interested in him anyway! He had these piercing blue eyes (Which I found out were contacts but his real eyes are even nicer but still was upset to find out that he'd tricked me lol), super hottie in my eyes! So I figured what the hell I went over and talked to him! Then his ride "Ditched him" I never have asked if that was true or not....so we gave him and his friend a ride to his cabin that him and his brother had just fixed up. He asked me to come in and check it out, he had been drinking but my buddy colton (a big hockey player) was with me so I figured if he tried anything I could yell and have my body guard lol but I felt at ease and didn't hesitate too much...He showed me around and then said I had to see the view off the balcony apparently "The moon shining off the lake is soo pretty" haha I was like oh boy maybe I was wrong about this guy! But he literally took me up there to show me, and it was BEAUTIFUL!! He didn't even try to kiss me that night (HUUUUGE for me!) He had me that night before he even knew it! He called me on our way home because he said he wished we could have hung out more, too cute! We have been together ever since!!

my Junior year in high school i was on the homecoming court and didn't have a date for the dance... my best friend at the time told me that she would have her cousin and his best friend come and they would be our dates... i was a little iffy about it but i said, "whatever"... they met us at the game, and we got in the car... we decided that we didn't want to go to the dance so we just spent the night driving around...Drinking..( high school! lol!) and we were in the back seat and he grabbed my hand and held it... I've been in love ever since!!

you all are giving me the shivers the stories are so cute and romantic haha. I love them all...its like a girly romance novel haha
