Here comes the bride - easy homemade banner - DENEANRAE's Blue Wedding by Color Blog

This is a repost on my super duper awesome here comes the bride banner that my ring bearer will carry (instead of rings) I guess he is not a ring bearer then haha. Anyways This was a fairly simple project for such an uncrafty being like myself.

Supplies:
Fabric (I used thick backing)
Scissors
Stencils
Soft Paint (this will ensure letters are not raised)
stencil brushes (easier to apply)
Dowel
Glue gun

I first applied the stencils and then when I was happy with placement I taped them down. I used a soft fabric paint and a stencil brush. Make sure you get the right brush because it helps it not bleed into the fabric or get bubbled (its hard to explain). After It was dry I took the stencils off. I glued a peice of dowel to the fabric and wrapped it around as I cant sew for the life of me. Cut the dowel to my preference and painted the dowels that were showing in the matching marine blue. In total this DIY cost me $10 and took about 30 minutes to make. Its not professional by any means but its cheap and I like that haha. What do you guys think?

@futuremrswilson... the stencils are from walmart in the kids craft section. they are cardboard and were about $3. The paint and brushes are from micheals and the fabric is from fabric land lol

Looks good! I really like the idea of the "ring bearer" carrying a HCTB sign instead of the rings (regardless if they're fake or real).
