My friend/bridesmaid meg got engaged a few months ago which is ubber exciting. A few days ago she asked me to be one of her three bridesmaids. I didnt honestly expect it tho cuz she has said all along that she only wants to have two, which is her twin sister and her longtime friend. So when she asked me I was shocked and estatic! I am so excited for them and cant wait to plan and all that for another wedding...this time not my own! WOOHOOO. Im gonna be the best bridesmaid ever lol. Im still trying to convince her to join WBC but it may take some convincing... wedding blogs are fun!

So im wondering...have you ever been a bridesmaid? and if so how many times? Or are you like me and only the bride never the bridesmaid hahaha.

Aww, congrats on getting to be a bridesmaid!! I've only been a bridesmaid once and it was actually the maid of honor for my now ex best friend, lol. It's really fun, though, you'll have a blast!

I have never been a bridesmaid. But I've been asked 2x. the first one was a wedding where they had a last minute one, and the 2nd was a friend who's one of my bridesmaids. but one groomsman backed out and she wanted to keep it even, so it's just her sister and a junior bridesmaid (niece). which is fine with me. :) it worked out for the best since my fiancé and I are paying for our own wedding -- saving money!

i was a bridesmaid for a close friend a few months ago and it is so much fun! you get to be a part of the wedding stuff and way less stress than being the bride, lol.

thats what im looking forward to pamnandy... I kinda relate it to as if I were a grandparent hahaha. You get the joys of the child and all the fun but at the end of the day it goes back to its parents. same for being a bridesamaid...you get the fun of planning an deing involved and part of the fun but you dont got the stress or the money issues LOL. funny anology but true.

@ladydamm... It works out for the best i guess! Im tottaly fine not being a bridesmaid so i didnt put up a stink lol. Less money for me... and then there is the bridal shower and bacehlorette planning. All things im looking forward too but being a guest would of been just easier haha

Never been a BM. Was asked but so were like 13 other ppl, and it sorta loses it specialness at that point LMAO. But nope, just a bride so far. But esp after this experience, I too would be the best dang BM EVERRRRRRRRRRRRR! LOL

I'm not married yet, but my friend is getting married in about two weeks and I'm going to be her maid of honor not a bridesmaid

Aw! That is so awesome!!! I've been a MOH twice (for my sister and my cousin) and I was a Jr. BM in my auntie's wedding when I was about 11. My FH and I were asked by our close friends to stand in their wedding the summer after ours! We're so excited for it!! Have fun :)

I have been a bridesmaid a couple of times, a flower girl 5 times, never a MOH, which is too bad because I usually end up doing all of the MOH duties and now I am finally being a BRIDE...Yippee! Congrats on being a bridesmaid you are going to have sooooo much fun!

Oh wow!, I have never been a bridesmaid as well, I will be the first amongst my gals to marry.....they are all so career orientated, half of them are not even dating.....even though I would love to be their bridesmaid I would be just as happy planning with them.....MUST BE EXCITING!!

Congrats!!! It's fun being a bridesmaid...you get to do quite a bit of your own planning because you get to help out with the shower/bachelorette party, and anything else.

I was a bridesmaid twice and a MOH once. Being the MOH for my friend not too long ago was how I found this site! :)

Yeah!!! Very exciting...being a bridesmaid is really fun!!! You will quickly learn how much the day isn't just about the Bride and Groom...it will bring you and your friend to a whole other level of friendship! So fun!!!
