Wedding dress: White vs ivory? Whats your choice?
Im so honestly torn whether to get white or ivory... i know its a personal preference and sometimes you look better in one or the other...but honestly... in a tottaly non-concieted way.. i look good in both, in that my skin tone matches both shades. I was talking to the ladies at the store and they reccomended to get white in the winter as it will look dirty on the snow and ivory for fall as it goes with the fall shades the best. But my wedding is in between... late summer haha. What are you guys going with and when is the best time to wear each shade?

OUCH! How much did you pay for flowers?
I met with a florist today and got a quote for my flowers. She quoted me just under $1000 for all and I have no idea if that was a good deal or not...seems like we are getting a lot for that but then agian... that a lot of money to spend on just flowers. I am a flower lover tho and fake just doesnt cut it for me (all flowers are gerbera diasies and roses),...how much did u spend?

If you could change your wedding colors, what would they be?
My colors are navy and pink...which i love and im sticking with...but i still see other color combos... dresses or on WBC and think...that would of been really nice.
If i could change my colors i would prob go with either the peacock colors (blue, green, silver) or crimson red and ice blue. So if you could change your wedding colors..what would they be? |

I was at town shoes last weekend and found this sylin barbie shoes lol..they are more hot pink in person but they are fab and stylin. I love the fact they are by barbie even more haha..so cute. I have not bought them yet. I want to look around a bit more..but these are cute for sure!

so good news: Today is our engagement pics
Bad news: today is the first day it snowed. SNOWED. and not nice white fluffy stuff... rainy wet stuff! This could either make the pics look really nice or make my hair look horrible lol... we will see. i also had a pretty little outfit picked out but its way too cold so im prob gonna be stuck in my coat :( Im really excited tho cuz ive never taken professional pics! We are taking them on the lake front at 4:00 pm. Yay pictures! |

When do you have the first dance?
I havent been to a wedding since I was ten so i definitly dont remember much from it. I have however watched many many wedding shows on TV and all seem to have the first dance right after the bride and grooms anouncement and enterance. However, I was talking to my bridesmaids about this and they all said that it would be weird to have it before dinner and that everyone has it as soon as dinner is done..to kick off the dance. I know its my wedding and I can do as I want but im just a little confused...when is this damn dance suppose to happen?

I found this mori lee flower girls dresses and thought they were so adorable, yet classic and elegant. They are organza and will come in white... I wil have two flower girls so im unsure if they should have the exact same dress...What do you think?

The oh so famous chair covers debate
I want an elegant wedding, and currently chair covers DO fit in our budget (but would leave more room for other things if it wasnt in there).I want the room to look beautiul so im for sure decorating the tables with nice linens and flowers and the head table with a back drop. My wedding colors and navy and hot pink and the chairs in the venue are new chairs with light grey fabric..so pretty neutral. Do you think this would be fine to leave them plain or will it ruin my look? Its just that if they are not necessary then i can spend that money on other things. If im spending so much on decor should I also do the chairs? Im so confused! Why are you using chair covers..or why are you not?

ya, I dig it!
I tried on some dresses yesterday and they were all so pretty! The store itself was a gong show...I had to register just to try on dresses, and the sales lady was a total biatch..making me feel like $1000 budget was cheap (this dress is $1400 ahh). I would love to find a differet store that carries this designer but so far no such luck.
The dress is by demetrios, illusions line, style 3133. It is white organza with tool/crinoline underneath...and sooo light and free! I LOVE it....it was hard to tell exactly how it was look as it was a size 10 and i am a much larger size, also the dress was ivory and I would get it in white. What do you think? Im still not sure if its "the one" so I will keep looking. |
