Bathroom baskets
Well, the countdown has begun..under 4 months and I can't believe all the little things that need to be done. I am trying to buy all of those little things now, so I need your help. My FI and I went to AC Moore last night to find a perfect basket for the bathrooms...(I refuse to get stressed over this..LOL) But, the past 6 months here and there I have picked up a few things for the baskets...gum, hairspray, tylenol, etc...but I have not found anything small enough. I don't want to supply a month of things, just something for that night and most of the baskets I have seen are very deep and big...I am actually looking for something a tad fancier then a basket, but if that is what I end up with it is fine. Does anyone know of any place that has good baskets or something that will work? I have been to every craft place in my area and nothing...Even if you have a totally different idea, I will welcome it...thanks alot girls!!!

I bought the mailbox...
Well, thank you to everyone for their great ideas for my gift cards, but I actually went and bought a metal white mailbox. I really do love the idea. I just want to decorate it tastefully. I was going to put a black ribbon (thick) around it with either a monogram label to seal it or hot glue some daisies onto it, but only a few...I am horrible at this stuff...any ideas?

Gifts for Bridesmaids
I am trying to find the perfect gifts for my girls. I have a maid of honor and 1 bridesmaid. They are actually my daugher and soon to be step daughter. I didn't want to go traditional with earrings or necklace. I wanted to do something that they can put away and remember the day our families came together. Now mind you, I am Miss Sentimental and they are 18 year old girls. So our tastes are different. My step daughter to be is very girly. Pink, etc... my daughter is more on the "Nine Inch Nails" end of things..although can pull the girly thing off it she chooses to...Any advice?

Save the Dates
Hi all...been away for most of the holiday, but I finally got my save the dates in the mail. They look beautiful. I actually used clear labels to mail them out. THe invites will be done with Calligraphy, but I figure these were less formal. They looked great. I used a beautiful font and we had return labels with both our names on them in the pink and black. When I dropped them in the mailbox, I felt excited yet nervous at the same time. I guess I realized that there is only 4 1/2 months until our wedding. I can't wait.

Card Boxes???
I have been racking my brain trying to come up with a cool idea for our cards. I saw a few different ideas, but really don't want the "well" or the birdcage...the chests are so expensive for just a few hours. I went onto EBay, but kept seeing the bids go up just as high as if I went into the store. I was actually thinking of a hat box wrapped in fabric or an actual mail box..white of course and slightly decorated with our Monogram...can you ladies help me with some ideas? I would appreciate it.

Wedding Invitation
My save the dates go out next month!! Yay!
These are my save the date cards. They are black with princess pink writing. We got the initial one but with our monagram instead in a script font. So beautiful. I got them on "Jean M" This site is fabulous and what a selection. Not too expensive either. They did a great job. They come in a long black envelope and then slide into a second pink envelope for mailing...very classy looking. The invitations are just ivory, with raised daisies on the edges with black writing. I kept them very traditional.

Wedding Dress
This is my wedding dress. I love it! I didn't want a train on my dress and I had the hardest time finding one. I bought this at David's Bridal (of course) The skirt part comes out a bit wider because I have a petticoat for underneath. The veil is elbow length and also my tiara that my daughter and niece bought me.(so sweet..) I also picked out my shoes, although I really don't want anything too high because I plan on enjoying my reception, but my fiancee is 6'2 and I am 5'5 so I wanted some height. I will decide before my first fitting. I am still debating about the earrings too! So many decisions...the food I have already but shoes and earrings are what's stressing me...LOL...
***UPDATE*** I took the advice of spring09bride and deleted my wedding dress pic so my FH does not sneak a peek. (He is like that at Christmas...just a big kid!! LOL...) Thanks to all that commented on it. |

The Proposal
I had dropped my car off for some work so my fiancee had to pick me up from work that night. It was 4:30 on Friday, March 28. I was getting my coat on and I heard a car radio playing very loudly. I figured it was some kids but the closer I listened, I heard "I can't help falling in love with you" by Elvis (which is our song) When I looked out the window, I saw my fiancee's truck. I went outside and got in the truck and he told me he wanted to put a smile on my face after such a long day. We got home and he had made dinner and had it all ready...(and still warm when we got there) He had watermelon martini's made for us. Now at this point I still am oblivious to what he is doing because it's not unusual for him to make me dinner. We went into the living room and he sat down next to me and told me how much he loved me and how happy he has been since I have come into his life..(oh, I could cry all over again just talking about it) He got down on one knee and pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. I of course said yes and got down on the floor with him to hug him. After that we went and shared the good news with our families. There were hugs, kisses and happy tears. And here we are now...

Wedding Cake
I haven't quite decided on my cake. These are a few I really like. I have a brushed silver initial for the top and around the bottom layer on the table will be mini pink gerbera daisies. I had an easier time picking out my dress then I am my cake. I am leaning toward Cake 1 but not sure.
