As an artist and a lover of light and color I was just thinking randomly and figured I'd blog about it...
I think you can make any color combo work, as long as you use the right shades, pairings (also includes separation of 2 colors that don't go great right next to each other), and blending them somehow.
Let say you pick 3 colors you wouldn't typically see used together (I'm drawing a blank, but I'm sure they exist) I think you can blend them somehow by picking a theme or even just incorporating a piece of art that uses all 3 colors.
Who knows, maybe this is a rediculous post but I was wondering if anyone can think of a color combo that wouldn't look good together. Sure, there are some that aren't in my taste, but if you get creative I think any combo can be aesthetically pleasing.
So here are some questions to generate discussion/conversation because I'm bored and curious...
1. Can you think of color combos that you just can't imagine looking good?
2. Any experience you've had or inspiration you've seen where you saw a color combo you thought would never work, but it was done tastefully and you were impressed?
3. Any horrendous color combos/themes you've seen that you just don't know WHAT they were thinking (photos encouraged, lol)
So have fun with this one and let me know what you think!

It was awful, I don't like to be nasty about another brides choice, but it looked like a box of crayons exploded.
Baby blue and gold, but it turned out beautiful.
Gold and lime, but it turned out gorgeous.
Last and not least, Damask and any color. At first I thought it was harsh, bold, dark, and depressing...After being on here I have grown to really like it and appreciate it better. It's beautiful when it all comes to life!
