DIY Wedding
Save The Dates

I FINALLY have something to show for my save-the-dates. I haven't shown the man yet, so it could change in terms of style and pics, but I wanted to show my WBC community what I have so far! The featured picture is probably my favorite, but I'm not sure if it goes with the rest of my wedding "look" since it has so much brown in the tones. Our colors are white and black (and some grey) with light pinks. It is ALSO in a barn so I've been trying to find ways to mix my stark colors with the warm, laid back theme of a barn wedding. I love the whole aged look with letterpress type styles, etc... and that is why I really love this first one. The others are based more on my wedding's elegant look (and one that is a mix of the two)

I would LOVE to hear any suggestions about what I should change, etc... I design these myself so I can change anything I want pretty easily. It's designed to a 5x7 postcard but we'll probably make them 4x6 for postage sake. WEe'll either print cheaply on glossy card stock or (if I can get my way) on linen.

I personally like your favourite, as well. I wouldn't change a thing.

i like your fave too! it's perfect to me and even if it doesn't go with the rest of your wedding "look" exactly...no one will bring it (or probably even remember it) when your actual wedding days comes around.

Hey... I love the second one!!! Thats my vote!

For mailing reasons I would say to go with the 4x6's...
AND... Don't worry too much if the Save the dates don't match...
Mine do not match our theam at all... (but mostly cause we did a little special thing with ours) ps I'm a black and white bride too!
I think the save the dates are just to remind everyone... Have fun with them! Not everything has to match perfectly - beleive me most people wont notice or remember!

Good Luck OH and when you go to mail them... go in to the post office and get them to check the weight first! I almost sent out 80 envelopes on Monday and I didn't have enough stamps on them... Opppss - Teeheehee!

Your save the dates don't need to match perfectly with your theme. Those are wonderful! I love #1 and #2 - but I think the first one, I think if I had to choose, I would pick #2 - I just like the 2 shots at different angles. I think it's great. :)

Thank you, guys! :) Yes, I used Photoshop and I'm so excited they turned out the way I hoped. I had them printed and now I'm SO behind in addressing the few I don't have addresses for and sending them all out. Eek! :D

I searched high and low for a reasonably priced basket. We don't particularly have a budget, but ...
