Wedding Gift Registry
...I have to get this done....

I have registered with Target, JcPenney, Bed Bath and Beyond and Macy's. But, I havent completed the registries, well the only one I completed was Target b.c I went into the store to do it. My co-workers are throwing me a shower next week and one of the told me she got on my registry, and there was nothing there!!! The Horror! lol! She told me I need to add some things to the registry, I told her i will so now I have to get on it. Then, I came home and feel asleep for about 4 hours today.

I dont think this is too bad, it's pretty reasonable actually, what do you think? Honestly, I dont want to buy real flowers b.c I feel like they cost too much. If I could use silk flowers I would b.c it more cost efficient, after the wedding day, who wants these flowers, I dont need a lot of flowers to begin with, I just need flowers for all of my attendants.
As you can see, I am giving myself reasons to buy these silk flowers. They even have the color pool blue, and I can tell them exactly how I want them to be made.

Here is a page full of bouquets that were done last year:

I'm Exhausted
....I'm ready to get this over with...

I am so exhausted from all of this wedding planning, etc. Honestly, I am ready to get this over with. Should a bride to be, be saying things like this? I dont think so but, this is how I feel right now. I'm tired of people asking me all of these questions, tired of getting no help, unsupportive people in my wedding party, limited funding for all of this, trying to figure out how we are going to pay for a honeymoon, because it hasnt been paid for yet, absolutely no help from FH and he thinks everything is ok. How can you just sit back and think everything is ok, when a lot of things still havent been finalized or even paid for yet? But for some reason I should be super excited right now because my wedding day is getting closer. We'll I'm not, i'm tired of penny pinching, and now I see, we are going to have to cut some people off of the list before I sent out these DIY invitations, because we just cant afford to feed everyone.

Should a Bride to Be, be feeling this way? As you can see in the picture I posted, the bride is exhausted and so is her wedding party. I don't want to look like that on my wedding day. I have to change up some things right now, at this point, whatever I dont have, we wont have, that's just the way it's gonna be.

Ask a Question
Should I print our monogram on the Vellum Paper?

I received the vellum paper to put on the inside of my invitations today. It's precut and just plain white vellum. Since it is so plain, should I print the monogram on the invitations on the vellum paper? I'm kinda leaning towards, yeah I should, so it wont look so plain. I am not sure though, should it be plain?

Should I print our monogram on the vellum paper?

or just leave it alone?

UPDATE: When I printed the monogram on the vellum paper, it made the invitation look so much better. I also went to Claire's in the mall. I bought some iridescent body glitter and sprinkled it only on the vellum papers. It came with a little pouf to put the glitter on your body, I am using that to put the glitter on the papers. It looks so unique, I have never seen this done before. It's great, I wish you could see it in person. The body glitter is different from regular glitter, it has smaller pieces and vellum papers went from being plain to being glamourous. Even Mario said, you did that!

Ask a Question
Would you buy these flowers?

In my search for the decorator, a nice lady sent me an email about flowers.

Hi! I just saw your ad on craigslist and I thought I would offer up a tip that I used. I purchased bulk bouquets and my bridesmaids and I made our own hand-tied bouquets. The following website offers great prices on some beautiful bouquets; all you have to do is find the perfect ribbon to wrap the stems! FYI - I personally used this wholesaler and the flowers were beautiful!! MUCH cheaper than a florist!! They also have flower petals, centerpieces and other bulk flowers at great prices! Boutonnieres and corsages are really easy too. Just cut the stems really short and wrap with floral tape (and ribbon if you want).

Here is the website where I purchased my ribbon

Here is a reply email I received from another bride that I referred this service to.

jessica u r an absolute lifesaver!!! really i can't thank u enough, i was gonna totally give up bc i still don't think i can make a bridal bouquet but i checked out the site and talked to their online help for a long time today and we were able to figure it out so they make the bouquets and boutonneires and stuff with just yellow roses and all i have to do is add in a few irises to my bouquet...and the whole thing was only like 500 bucks compared to the $2500 or more quotes i was getting from florists!!!
many thanks
betsy

Good luck and congratulations!

Jessica

Platinum Weddings!
....it premiere's tonight!....

Yeah, I know it is the superbowl but, tonight is also the premeire of Platinum weddings, Rich Bride Poor Bride and My Fair wedding. I really want to watch the episode of Platinum Weddings tonight with Sheila and Santosh. They are having a traditional Indian wedding and they are right here in Houston. Even on the WETV.com website they have all of the local vendors they have used. I love indian weddings and how they are decorated. Sheila get's to wear jewelry that her father made ( he is a jeweler), one necklace alone is $150,000. I may be going to a superbowl party tonight, but I am going to have to tell Mario, that I need to go home before I miss my shows!

It's my Birthday!
....let's celebrate!....

Today is my birthday. I'm excited. This morning I have to sign my daughter up to play softball and then I am going to a day spa to enjoy a facial and a relaxing massage. After that, I really dont have any plans, I just want to relax today. I think the best birthdays are when you can do exactly what you want to do, or nothing at all. Of course I will end up at the mall before the day ends.

Ask a Question
Where can I order wallet size prints for cheap?

I need to order about 100 wallet size re-prints from our enagement photos to give as a gift at the reception. I am going to do the alternative to Matchbook favor. I am going to order tiffany blue cardstock cut in the size of an index card. Iwill tie a white ribbon around them and that's it. I am going to make these, it wil be my seconf DIY project. I figure it will be a much cooler way to give away our picture instead of just placing the single pictures on the table.

Ask a Question
Would you rent a timeshare for your honeymoon?

Since, I am trying to budget so many things at once. I am also thinking of how we can come out cheaper on our honeymoon. As of today, I was looking at renting timeshares on a website but i forget which one I was on. Anyway, I sent an email about the location but the rep emailed me back and said it wasn't available during the time I wanted to rent it. We want to go to Hawaii, and I know it can be expensive but, I have seen trips online that haven't been so bad. So, I started looking at timeshares, now I really dont know much about this.....would you consider doing this? You can buy or rent a timeshare for any part of the world to visit at a discounted rate which, normally would be less than paying for a hotel stay, a lot less.

Am I the only one trying to do this? Is anyone else looking for a cheaper way out of the honeymoon costs? If anyone knows of someone who has a timeshare in Hawaii, and they are willing to rent it, please email me and let me know.

Would you rent a timeshare for your honeymoon?
