I am already married, happily at that, but I have a friend that was getting married in March 2014...
Little black dress with lace bolero, black, shoes, and black accessories.
I love the bolero.
taking a little risk...showing my white legs to the world.
Shoes from payless.
Necklace and bracelet.
With my little black clutch.
The dress poofs out in the belly when I sit, but I think it will be ok. Right?
The back is really cute!
Back of dress. If it had a slit in it I wouldn't consider it appropriate AT ALL. Is this ok for a wedding?
So I need some opinions from you ladies. I need to know if this outfit is wedding appropriate for an indoor wedding at a hotel, and an indoor wedding at a convention center? I couldn't find a dress that was closer to knee length that fits me that didn't cost about $100. I just can't affrod that right now. I don't want to look trampy. I hope that the dress length isn't a problem. I don't know the first couple, the groom is my fiance's friend that I have never met. I don't want to make a bad first impression.
I was going to accessorize the dress differently for each wedding. I ended up getting a lot of dark jewelry because that's just what I normally wear. I also got a little black lace bolero to cover my shoulders.
I wanted to get purple jewelry to wear to the first wedding (October 10th), and some fall colors to wear to the second wedding (October 23rd?, I think). I couldn't find any purple accessories that I liked. :( I have some time to find some fall colors, but will they work with this mostly black outfit???
So....what do you think? I could really use some input.
I also have to add that this will be the first time that I will be wearing a cocktail dress in 8 years...but I think I can do it.
