In late November I posted that I had ordered a pocket watch from theknot for my FH, and a few of you had mentioned that you were interested in seeing pictures of the product when it came in. Now that the holidays are over I've had some time to take some pictures and upload them to my computer.
At first I wasn't sure of what I really thought of it. I thought that it was a bit small, the engraving could have been better, and the hour hand was kind of hard to see, but the more I look at it the happier I am with it. I guess I am a bit on the picky side, but all in all it was a great investment. I bought it on sale for $19.99 and the engraving was $5.50. It took about 14 days to arrive, but it was worth the wait. I also ordered 100 sandalwood fans at the same time, so we were pretty excited for the package to arrive!
So the pictures are an up close look of the pocket watch when it's open, a comparison of the watch and my hand, the back "window" of the watch that shows the gears on the inside, and an up close shot of the engraving.
I am very happy with this pocket watch, and it fits our theme perfectly. It will look very handsome with the top hats and the suits with coat tails that my FH, the groomsmen, and our ring bearer will be wearing. It's a special piece that will probably only be used for the wedding and very special occasions, but it's a must for every gentleman (in our opinion anyway). We plan on ordering more. :)
I love top hats! I want one, not really for my wedding as ours will be pretty casual. I just want one to have so if you find any at reasonable prices please let me know! Thanks. :)
....and thanks, tashasita!!!
