Wedding Blues :(
What now????IM a mrs....

FIRST THINGS FIRST..i just have to say..some may think this is cheesy or stupid..but the whole church including me were in tears, and kept saying that jeff "stole the show" when he the following..
We wrote our own vows, and jeff went first...he CRIED...i have never seen him cry like that...it was the sweetest thing ever!!!!!!

So.....we got home from the honeymoon yesterday, and the whole time we were gone, i could barely sit still, because after months of running around all day every day (i had the luxury of not working for a year) i now have NOTHING to do...so...God willing, we will have a Vow Renewal in 5 years...i know long time from now, but hey, if i start in like a year, that gives me 4 years, to have a HugE shindig which we did not have at the wedding, it was BEAUTIFULL and perfect, but only had about 100 guests...so a few ?'s for all the Mrs. and soon to be Mrs's

1.What are you doing with all your wedding stuff after its over?
2.Do u fell like okay..what now...redecorate my house?have a baby? get a new job? lol...i cant sit STILL!!!
3.do you think you will ever have a vow renewal and if so, what will you do differently from wedding (aside from the obvious things..)

I donated all the fresh flowers to a local hospice
The decorations were all a hit, especially the 14 crystal trees, and the chairpeople for Make a Wish, in Tn, and also Judges for the Miss America program, are 2 of my dearest freinds, and i was going to sell everything, but they have asked me do to all the decorastions for the make a wish gala in september, the few things i will buy, i will get on sale, then list fair market value for the cost and use them for a tax deduction...ex (4 large centerpiece vases, 100 dollars each, on sale for 9 dollars each...so i paid 36, will be listing them as 400 dollars...
) since i dont buy ne thing unless its on sale, that will be great for mnake a wish and for me...I also will be loaning out and doing decor for miss america this coming year...for various events locally...

So all my hard work paid, because i donated flowers to sick people, got a job doing decor for make a wish, i will get a tax ride off, and after a certain business owner for a laser skin care center saw my hard work, i was offered a full time job at the office...So no only am i a happikly married woman, i got several opportunities just from saving money and DIY projects..

Oh, it sounds like such a beautiful day you had. Wow 14 crystal trees!  I had 3 ,but only 2 could fit into the van, LOL.  What I call what you are going through is Wedding Planning withdrawls. Laugh with me?  I love my girls here on this site. I can't stay away. I kind of feel like a momma bird that can't leave the next yet, plus many have asked me to stay. I've sold my wedding things on this site afterwards and that was lovely. I still have a few boxes let, but mostly have been sold.

This wedding was our 2nd vow renewal (10th Anniversary) Yayayy! We are having our 15th on an island next time. This has always been his request to get married on some clean sand in Thahiti, Fiji, Kauai, Barbados, Bermuda like that. We just couldn't do that with our children around and no babysitting. LOL They are almost out of the house in another few years. The oldest is 21 in her 2nd year in college, 3 14 year olds a 9 & 8 year old too. The next one will be just him and I (alone) heheheheee!

First of all... I read an article "Top 10 Worst Reasons to Have a Baby", and #1 was "you're bored", and it discussed the trend of brides and their post-wedding blues doing this. It's just not a good thing to do.

1. I didn't have much left over from the wedding. I donated my dress, my CAT adopted my veil, I used our cake topper on our anniversary cake, and I've worn my shoes a few times. People took the centerpieces, my mom saved the bubbles, and that's pretty much it?
2. I always have something to plan. First it was the honeymoon (which was a few months later), then our first anniversary, now it's our cruise for next year. Plus I'm a writer - I have a few different blogs I write. Find a hobby, learn a craft - it helps.
3. We're doing a vow renewal; that's what my blog here on WBC is for. [Sorry, I didn't log in.] And we'll be doing... well... everything different. No wedding party because that was a mistake the first time (although we may do honored guests), the colors I really wanted, awesome decor, stunning invitations (even though everyone loved ours, I always wanted the invitations you frame after the event...) The only thing we may not change? The wedding size was about perfect - maybe just a few extra guests - and we want to book our same reverend because he was AMAZING.

The post-wedding blues suck, but hopefully you'll get through them soon. Hang around here, leave comments, give advice - that helps a lot, too!

That is aweesome (about the new jobs!!!)

I think that I'll be able to avoid the post-wedding blues though becuase after we get back from our honeymoon, we're going to be moving to Sudbury, whch is 8 hours away!! so the move, and getting settled in will keep me pretty busy I'm thinking!
