Rehearsal Dinner
Texas style Rehearsal Dinner
Our Rehearsal dinner will be at a steakhouse that many in our bridal party have seen on the Travel Channel, since they are all traveling here they are really wanting to check it out, so this dinner is not as fancy as the wedding, but definately is us! We now live in a small town, but our College, USMC friends are those in our bridal party. I can't wait to see my big city friends & those not from Texas, it should be a blast! Thank goodness the wedding is Saturday evening, I have a feeling our friends are gonna have a few cold ones & some dancing at this one :-)
I wear dresses with boots from time to time, but can't seem to find teh right dress. I like this dress or maybe something like it, I am planning on wearing boots with whatever dress I find, I think this dress is pretty, but I kinda wanna wear something red???    |

Bridesmaids
Lucky to have so many close friends....
Two sisters, One sister in law, Six very close friends NINE Bridesmaids.......Everyone is picking their own shoes, so I can't wait to see everyones different heels. This is the dress, all my bridesmaids have them already! We ordered through Davids Bridal to try to make things easy since some live in Florida and the others all over Texas. Davids Bridal Proved to be a HUGE mistake. My experience was awful, they ordered everything from the wrong color to extra accessories, and not to mention the constant phone calls I recieved from third party vendors they gave my number to. Well I am glad it is over! All my girls have their dresses. On a lighter note, I LOVE the dress! It is flowy & light, thank goodness, it will be a hot evening in Texas come our wedding day! I am still looking for the perfect jewelry, deciding between crystal type jewelry & a few other pieces. Broches on their bouquet will be from my Granny's jewelry shop from back in the 50's, another part of their BB gift. More pix to come

Cannot wait to be married!
This is me & my fiance, we've know each other since middle school & highschool, we like each other, but never got together. After highschool we both went to college & he also served in the Marine Corps. This man makes me laugh, makes me feel beautiful, makes me whole. We of course started out just madly in love & physically attracted to one another, but as time has passed and our love has grown, I can truly say this is my best friend, and I am honored to be his wife :-)

Here it is!!!!!! This pix does not do this dress justice, but you know how it goes when you put "the one" on, you just know! I am altering the front just a tad to more of a sweetheart neck line, still can't decide on a veil or hairstyle.
  By the way I purchased this dress through "Weddings By Debbie" in Katy, Texas. This salon is FABULOUS!!!! They have wonderful customer service & a beautiful salon. It was a great experience. If you are in the Houston area I highly recommend this salon. I drove about nine hours from where I live & visited about five other shops in Houston, but this one hands down for me was the Best! |

It needs roses & bling!
I love the crystal banding, but also want red roses, so I guess when I meet with the cake lady, we'll have to fiure something out, still need a topper.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something BLUE!!!! I had these shoes dyed in a light blue, but I guess you could go "Sex in the City" with a dark blue, I am also working on adding a shoe clip or something to that centerpiece. The large crystal you see in the picture is actually an earring!!! LOL!!! Just trying to get an idea on how they'll look.

DIY Wine Glass Charms
I am ordering each bridesmaid a hand blown wine glass from Tiffany & Co.....$15.00 each, so each girl will have a little blue box to open....there are nine so jewelry from Tiffanys' is way out of the question :-( So I decided to keep glasses seperate & personalized they each have their favorite color & inital......still working on them but this is the idea. I got all the beads, wire, charms at Hobby Lobby for $25.00 so less than $3.00 for each charm. They will be recieving other gifts but this is just something fun I decided to do.
