Parasol for photos!

I love the look of the parasols in photo's. Since our ceremony will be outdoors and in early evening time, I am going to purchase a few parasols to place in each row so the guests can use that to help protect the sun from being in there eyes so they don't have to shield the sun with their hands or wear sunglasses. One of the photographers we met with said when the guests are holding the parasols it makes for great photo op's as well.

I ordered an ivory with ivory ostrich feather parasol for me from greatlookz.com to use during photos. I definitely want a photo like the one in the left that my girlfriend had forward on to me that she had found online. Also, since we are having blush colored ostrich feathers all throughout our decor, the ostrich feathers will keep the theme consistent.

The parasols with the gold I am going to order just for the first row (since that's parents and immediate family) since they are expensive, and then those parasols the bridal party can use for photos.

For the rest of the guests I am just going to order ivory parasols for as cheap as I can find. Maybe I'll put 2 in each row and 2-3 people can be shielded from the sun and put a cute little tag on the ends of them explaining what they are for.

I'll post a pic of my parasol when it arrives. For now, here's a pink one but mine will be all ivory.

that is a really good idea--i've seen people post the parasols before but never thought anything about it...but having them for people is a great idea!

I was going back and forth if I should keep the pink or not....a few of my bridesmaids said the pink was way to bubblegum'ish and looked a little child'ish. I guess I will see if I like the white/ivory one when it arrives. If not, I can hopefully return it and get the pink one then. ;)
