Owwwwie!!!! How to fix this??

This summer I went cycling in the mountains with my fiance and my maid of honor to scope out a very remote race course that John was going to race in a few weeks. It was a new course and not yet marked - so we were following some directions on a local cycling board.

Well - the roads themselves were not maked well - and our 40 mile ride turned into a 75 mile ride......we acutally ended riding into Tennessee and back!! We were out there for 5 hours. My sunscreen was inadequate....translation - none - and this is what happened.....grease pencil tatoo courtesy of John...

Now several months later and one month before my wedding I have a picture taken at my fitting last week and you can still see the darn lines!!

Now what the heck do I do???

I'd say you could try a spray tan, but those tend to rub off on clothes slightly, and it'd be awful to get on your dress. Try going to a tanning salon. Have someone put a low SPF sunscreen on the places you don't want to get tan and you should even out a bit. I'm sure the attendants have dealt with this before and might have some suggestions.

I had the same problem this summer, not my wedding, but a friends in which I was a bridesmaid. I had bathing suit tan lines from a trip in the spring. I used a little bit of self tanner on the pale parts only, a couple times a week until i got the colour to match. You'll have to get someone to put it on for you, but it could be worth a try.

I'm so sorry!! I am not sure. You could try the self tanner thing or do a lot of make up the day of the wedding to match the tone... at least it would last during the ceremony.

Is your wedding during the day or at night? If it's at night, no one will notice! :)

I wouldn't risk spray on tanner, all mys experiences with it have turned out orange, super dark or streaky. (even when I had it professionally done).
I swear by sally hansen airbrush legs, lol. I Used it on my armsa for the wedding, and as long as you give it a good hour, it shouldn't rub off onto the dress.

it honestly doesnt look as bad as it looked b4, i wouldnt try  self tanner my friend did it once and she looked like a carrot and it also can ruin yr beautiful dress so i wouldnt risk it, mayb a shall a pretty white one at least just for the ceremoney, im sure they can touch up yr wedding pics if its still an issue as for the rest of the night , im sure ppl will not notice it, have fun and enjoy yr day sometimes by trying to fix something  it can make it worse, really u look beautiful, all da best :)

I would try to put sunscreen on the parts that got tan and then go tanning so that the whiter part can catch up a little :) If all else fails, put on a little bit of self-tanner....but make sure it test it beforehand!

I def. would go to a tanning bed. I guess everyones skin reacts differently but my skin gets very  even tone after tanning.. I would try it!!

Honestly, I didn't even notice it in your pictures.  Because of the fact that it is paler between your shoulderblades, I thought that it was just the lighting.  You look beautiful, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.  If you can tan, then I'd say maybe go to a tanning salon and ask what they would do, but if not then don't stress.  I honestly had to look hard at the pics and only recognized it 'cause I knew what I was looking for.  Good luck girl!

OH BOY!   I had a similar problem about 4 weeks before my wedding, i went and got a nasty burn.  My chest was still not back to normal by the time the wedding came around.  So I bought this stuff called Nylons in a bottle or Spray on nylons.  Its made for women with spider veins who dont want to wear nylons.  It covers evenly and without the orange coloring that self tanners give.  I sprayed it on about an hour before putting on my dress and it worked perfect, plus it did NOT stain my dress.  It stayed on all day and night and made me feel much better as I didnt look like a shiney tomato!  Good Luck!

Well, I don't really know what to do. I agree with asking the attendants at the tanning salon for some advice.

However, I would just like to say..."And you thought you looked fat!?" You are a knock-out in that dress! Very beautiful! I guarantee you have NOTHING to worry about!

I hate to say it, but the only thing that could really cover that is make-up. You can buy some that is used to cover tattoos. Good luck! By the way, your gown is beautiful!
