This is dreams5223's Purple Wedding!

Slowly but surely... Approximately 9 months until the wedding, that first year flew by! Between work and school I've been trying to plan here and there so I don't get stressed out. So far we have the ceremony site booked, reception hall booked, DJ booked, menu set, centerpieces and various other decorations bought (still need to put them together), and favors bought. We are going to meet with the photographer tomorrow and also with a baker. After those two things are set with a down payment I will be relieved. Everything is coming much easier than I originally anticipated. I'm pretty sure I have the bridesmaids dresses picked out as well, just need all my girls to go try it on to make sure it works with everyone’s body type. I've also got the flower girl dresses picked out, it matches my dress perfectly, just not sure when to order those. I've got three flower girls and they are all pretty young and will grow by October, any suggestions on when to order these? I also need to meet with a florist to pick out bouquets, not sure when is an appropriate time to meet with them either. We are also still trying to pick a place for the honeymoon; we were thinking Costa Rica but still open to anywhere. It will be hurricane season in the gulf though so no where in that region.

Alright I suppose that is enough rambling... I was just bored at work so I figured I would post some thoughts. I still need to post pictures to here of favors, centerpieces, and bridesmaids dresses but until then… I bid you adieu!

I've bought chair covers from CVimports.com ... since I bought 100 they were only 3.59/ cover. My hall rented them for $5/chair and when I went to try one on the chairs there they said that it was very similar to the covers they have. Im saving $140 plus I can resell them after the wedding! I bought them in dark ivory. Its ivory with a slightly golden tint. I love them! I'm considering putting a flower or maybe a couple of leaves where it ties. (We are having a fall theme with leaves and lillies) The way I tied it though looks better than the picture (which I got off the website) so I may just leave it. I don't want to take away from the light and flowy look.

I finally found the one! It is ordered and will be here March 9th... Here is a pictue from the website... the dress in the store was too small so I wont post the pics of me trying it on until mine comes in. lol It is an Oleg Cassini gown, I know nothing about fashion but as I look up the designer I've found why the dress was so expensive. : / However, it is the dress... and I'm going really cheap with everything else! The picture does it no justice.

Also, they have a matching flower girl dress that we will probably use... Once again the picture does no justice.

I really need to kick it into a higher gear and get some things done. I've got everything planned out in my head and then I change my mind. Then, if I get my mind set on something and put it together it doesn't look as good as I imagined it. The things I do have completed I will start posting on here as long as I don't get lazy. I'm stressing out and shutting down between school, work, and wedding planning, not to mention I'm in RCIA classes (It's a Catholic thing... my FH is Catholic, and I'm considering converting from Nazarene).

Anyway, I've got things to do... can't post a long entry... just wanted to post some pictures of me and my FH.

I originally wanted to go with Calla Lillies, however, they seemed a little hard to come by. I've switched to this various lillies. (tiger lillies, day lillies, mountain lillies)

I already have my centerpieces figured out and will post pictures of those later when I get one completed.

I've decided to go with silk flowers for the reception and real flowers for the ceremony and bouquets.
