This is drjohnsonsnurse's Blue Wedding!

well the FH and I were talking and we were discussing how we wouldnt be able to get married til his older brother gets married.. and his older brother told us we would have to wait at least 4 years.. so that may push back our date about 2 years... which would be okay... i would be 25 ish and he would be 26 so i think its okay, right?

im not too worried.. because by that time.. i should be done with all schooling necessary and starting to work and support and earn enough money to help pay our way for the wedding.....

other news...
for the reception, i kinda wanted it to be in dallas... only because both sides would be travelling to certain location.. but then i decided against it... since im not really a big fan of dallas anyway..

so scratch that..
we're still probably gettin married in Houston only because its amazing! and most of my family is there and it will be alot easier to plan...

also for the reception we were thinkin about having 2 [or well i want 2 he wants 4] open bars... but my cousin was telling me how expensive that would be for us and we should get cash bars instead.... any ideas ladies?

as far as the colors go...
i think for the engagement we're thinkin about doin something bright because we want it at least 6 months before the wedding.. which would be around the summer/fall/winter ish.... so color schemes that would go well with the fall that we would want would be maybe something like
- pumpkin orange and yellow with hints of gold
- pink and orange with hints of silver

i think for the wedding we're probably goin to go with
- teal/ dark blue with pumpkin orange with hints of silver
- teal with canary yellow and silver

we definitely want blue for the wedding and orange as well.. so we're just tryin to figure out the right shades of these colors to pick out.. LOL =]

well thats all the update for now....
ooo WAIT! i got a new job for the summer while im at home... im goin to be at a summer camp and im teaching kids between the ages of 3 and 14 all about science and math... SO wish me luck! im so nervous!

well we were talkin about how we wanted blue to be our main color at the wedding.... especially since its a winter wedding... and then we were trying to figure out what our accent color would be..i was thinkin of keepin it simple like
option 1
blue with white and silver --> problem is its my high school colors and i dont want that at all

option 2
blue with canary yellow and silver/gold

option 3
blue with pumpkin orange and silver--> looks alot like NEMO =]

option 4
blue/teal with black and white and silver --> KEEPIN IT CLASSY

option 5
blue/teal with LIME GREEN and black and silver --> my fav colors LOL

any ideas?

flowers:::
well my favorite flowers happen to be lillies.. and i would love to somehow get lillies to match the colors or complement the colors of the wedding... i think it would be amazing to get blue lillies and white stephanotis...

i was thinkin about orchids... they're kinda an odd looking flower.. but my cousin had lavender orchids and they went really well with their turquoise and chocolate brown scheme

any suggestions?

Well for one of my cousins wedding from philly, she used bella photographers... and i think they're amazing...
but then some of my really good family friends got married within the past 4 months and they used this one photographer and i think they did a wonderful job... problem is i cant remember their names LOL!
