So I've been playing around with my hair and makeup lately. Trying to see how long my hair really was since I recently cut it. I like having my hair short and don't want to grow it out but want and elegant look for the wedding. As you can see in some of the photos the back of my hair is the problem. I've been looking at some hair pieces and plan on talking to my stylist.
My makeup is still in the air but I like this simple light look. The dress is one of the photos isn't the dress i'm wearing, its one i bought for $25 dollars and then decided I wanted the one picture in a previous blog of mine. I want my hair up because it will go with my dress better.
I've considered getting the hair from Ken Paves and Jessica Simpson but am worried it will not work or go up very well. I found a cheaper version so if something goes wrong i'm not out as much money.

Ok so what do you ladies think of this idea. I found these on weddingwearhouse.us and they are for a children's toss. Basically a replacement of the garter and bouquet toss just for the kids. I thought it would be a really great way to include the kids in the reception and make them feel like they had their own thing. But I'm wondering if it will start fight between the kids and what age limit.
I was thinking ten and under, and then twelve and over for the other toss. That way the little kids weren't trampled by the big kids.

What's a good age limit, and will this start to many fights with the kids and lead to too much disappointment instead. Or am I just over thinking it? lol

Ok so I've encountered so many stresses over this wedding since we became engaged over a year ago. They just seem to increase in number, regularity, and size! I can't tell if its me or if I'm around to many stressing people.
First off the biggest stresser of this wedding has been my sister. She was originally my maid-of-honor but I had to demote her! I know what your thinking I must of hit the level of bridezilla! Honestly I can't believe I'm not! But anyways my sister kept arguing that she didn't want to wear a black dress, which all my other girls are wearing, and wanted a color of her own and said I was morbid. Then she refused to throw me a bachelorette party saying it was too much work and she didn't know what to do. I even gave her a list of all the girls and their numbers so she could get help from them. She'll be 20 in may so there is no reason why she couldn't handle it. If she's old enough to get married she ought to be old enough to plan a party. (she's engaged as well). So I even offered to have someone else plan the party to relieve her stress but then she finally said she didn't want to be my MOH and refused to be it. So I made my BF my MOH. This was about 3 months ago.
So today I called my sis to make sure she knew she was in the wedding party (my mom said she didn't know) and to make sure she was getting her dress. So now she is whining that she is not MOH and says I should demote my friend so she can be. But she still doesn't want to plan the party. I told her I have given my word to my BF so I refuse to take it back. Finally after many words and tears she reluctantly agreed but that is still iffy with the wedding 4 months away. So much can happen.
Then my MOH is possibly unhappy with me. About a week ago she invited me to a bridal show her sigma was hosting about 45min away. I told her I would try to go. Well I was unable to make the event due to finance's and I've have trouble reaching her since. When I texted her last nite she said she was disappointed that I didn't come, but when I told her it was due to finance's she didn't respond and I still can't reach her and she won't return my phone calls. I can see where I messed up. She was trying to do something for me and make an effort as MOH and she must think I didn't care or give that a second thought. I just wish she'd let me explain and understand where I'm coming from.
Plus surrounding this whole wedding is anxiety from his family. They like me and think we're great together but wanted him to wait until he got out of college. So his mother has asked me so many times why we have to get married right now. Really?!! And every time we have trouble with money or his school she immediately brings up the wedding. I'm going into this knowing every time something goes wrong they are immediately going to come back on our marriage for like the next 5-10 years. IT really hurts me because I know we would be in the same situation regardless. Not to mention I take marriage very seriously and value what we are about to do and it offends me that they use our getting married as and excuse for every problem that develops.

Worked on decorating some of the jars for my candy table today. I think they turned out alright. I have one more which is a clear cookie jar that actually looks like a fish bowl. But I still don't think that will be enough jars. I'm also mixing in some small silver platters and three tier silver trays for variety and to have something to set some chocolates on.
Any ideas for more jars? Bigger? Smaller?
I'm picking up the candy after v-day. Wal-Mart's candy is already pretty cheap and will go on sale after v-day. Granted most will be in red, white, or pink but at 50% I don't think the color matters to much.

I'm doing my own invitations and i can't decide on which monogram is better. I made them myself so i can always make another one if I decide i want something else. This seems like such a silly thing to worry about! :) details details details.

I've replicated the invite on word. The printed paper will be white and the backing will be pool colored.

I've found cardsandpockets.com to be very helpful. I've have to change some of my dimensions but it's saving me tons of money and time.
They have a wonderful selection of precut paper fairly cheap and if they don't have what you need they can cut it for you for extra.

The dimensions will be 6 1/8 square in pool
5 7/8 square in white
envelopes 6.5 square
5.5 square map
2.75 x 5.5 written directions

i found it will be cheaper to do the maps on white cardstock from wal-mart and cut them myself, but the paper for the invite themselves is much cheaper at carsandpockets.com and will save me the stress of making sure they are cut the way i want them. Plus I can get all the paper for 120 invites for only $40 which isn't bad especially considering I don't have to cut it.

My finace' is a really big fan of the Phoenix Suns so I went looking around for a garter with their logo since I wouldn't allow anything in the wedding to be basketball related. :) So I found this one on Ebay for $16.97 and was really please with how it turned out. It fits really well.

Found this dress at Target for $20. I originally want it as a reception dress but when I received the dress it was not what I expected. I really got what I paid for. :P So I decided to wear it to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.

I found this cute ballet slippers that I thought would work great for the ceremony and reception and really save my feet. Only problem is I'm worried they will not go with my dress, and won't look very classy. Not to mention they are around $40 and I don't see the need to spend that much. I think you can still do classy without breaking the bank.

I really like these arrangements. Especially the callalillies with the hint of blue. I'm trying to think of flowers that would look nice, petite in size, and that look good as fake flowers, to add a hint of blue to my bouquet. The fake callalillies at Hobby Lobby look really nice but it's hard to find a really nice look fake blue flower.

Since i'm having a late may wedding i'm not sure if I want the groomsmen to wear long sleeved or short sleeved tops. I want them to look classy but at the same time I don't want them to get too hot either.
