Ask a Question
How should your makeup be worn on your wedding day?

I often wonder how my make up will be worn that day... my sister has a MAC cd with a tons of makeup tricks & tips and it seems great the only thing I want to know is, should your makeup look natural on the day of your wedding? Or can it be a bit dark so that when your photographer takes pictures of you it may seem that you are wearing makeup... Anyone? Please if you have the answer to this question, let me know! Thanks!

I don't think there's a hard rule on this one, I think for the most part it's what you prefer.  I wouldn't go TOO heavy on the eye makeup though just because you COULD cry during the ceremony and some times even waterproof can smudgeYou also don't want makeup to clump into your laughlines and such giving you the illusion of 'crowsfeet'.  And you want your FH to recognize you..if you normally wear no makeup then I'd go for more natural look, if you normally wear tons then I'd just make it classier or whatnot....you want to look like you only BETTER:)

Im thinking about getting a makeup artist, I haven't decided yet though. I'm going to start school on the fall to become a makeup artist, I was thinking of dropping by the school and asking which student is awesome at Bridal  makeup (the course has a whole section on JUST bridal makeup)

I might get airbrush because it's what most brides go with these days. It makes your skin look flawless and lasts all day into the night with no touch ups needed... I looked through the schools best work but I cant recall which bridal photos I seen. I agree with Sabrina, its all up to you and yes you have to keep in mind there will probably be tears lol

So how much would a makeup artist charge? What is the average that they would charge because I don't mind paying someone to do it for me but as long as they are not too pricy because I have to spend on other stuff as well...

In my opinion. As long as you don't wear heavy makeup to begin with I think that you should wear your makeup a little more than you usually do... but not too much.. you don't want to NOT look like yourself. But you do want it to be a little more than normal. :) Just my personal opinion.
