So, my big news is.......................



A local Philadelphia vendor search company found my blog and loved my stories and tone. They have asked me to be THEIR bridal blogger! I am overjoyed! I am a writer so this is the best news. I am blogging about my wedding for some wedding $ now! I cannot continue writing here but I hope you all continue to follow my journey at partyspace.com/blog.

Sooooo its finally here! My dad shot our engagement pictures himself at Valley Forge Park near King of Prussia, PA on our "one year until" weekend. It was a gorgeous day -- I hope our wedding day is exactly like that, sunny and perfect! My mom came with and acted as our photo assistant. She held up a big piece of cardboard to try and block the sun since the FH squints and shuts his eyes in so many pictures! We took a few hundred shots total but my Dad narrowed it down to these. The time spent together flew though.

We had slept at my brother's house in Perkionmenville (he purchased our old childhood home --- see my other blog for that story --- elizjade.wordpress.com) so in the morning, we took pictures in the woods, just a few to get the day started. The next spot was the park where Jared and I had our first kiss in high school --- almost 12 years ago! We took pictures in the parking lot where we had made out in our cars and also on the baseball field, since he was a minor league baseball player and I always watched him play in high school! Our next stop was the "official" photo spot -- Valley Forge Park. I am obsessed with deer (sooo cute) so I thought this would be extra special because of the amazing sights throughout the park. Hills, trees, grass, water, historic mansions and statues, a cathedral, everything!

I figured we would only be there for an hour or so since we had already snapped quite a few before hand, but we kept finding better and better locations! It turned into over two hours I believe -- just there! We ended at the cathedral; I had said I wanted to get married there when I was a little kid so that was extra romantic getting pictures outside. There was even a wedding so we stalked the limo to get a glimpse of all the dresses!

My dad created dazzling backdrops and special effects on many of the pictures using Photo Shop. He set them to music and wa-la, here is our engagement video! He is creating a similiar video at our wedding, except taking photos of FH's childhood, my childhood, our friends and our pictures. He has already started since it is such a process! Anyways, thank you sooooooooo much, again, Dad, for taking the photos (with your lovely assistant), enhancing them, and developing this amazing piece of art! Love it and you, of course!

Well, its 2011! This officially is our wedding year! 2009 and 2010 flew, so I can't imagine... ah! To help me get back into wedding mode, I found my cater's Facebook page which had a ton of amazing photos!

SINGLE Digit Months Today!!
WOW. We have had over a year engagement so far and today marks the start of the single digit month countdown -- ONLY 9 MONTHS LEFT TIL OUR WEDDING!!! Where does the time go?! Seems like yesterday we got engaged! 9 months! My friends have babies in that short amount of time :)

I still need BM dresses though! Cant find any cute, to-the-knee dresses with pockets! Any suggestions on good brands/sites?

We are having a 22 month engagement because once Jared proposed on 11/10/09 without remembering I was eyeing up 9/10/11 as a wedding date, I knew it was fate. I can not wait to get married yet love having so much time to plan! Our venue is simply amazing and the whole weekend is going to be beautiful.
