Not So Fun 1st Wedding Shopping Experience!!!!

try not to lose hope! I had the same experience at a store, and I never went back. I did, however, find a few other places and shopped around a bit and I finall found a place where the people were really nice and helpful and had a selection of wedding gowns that were varied and gorgeous! (I had already picked out my bridesmaid dresses). good luck!

Well my first was incredibly nice, I felt comfortable, the salesperson was not pushy at all and she helped and asked everysingle question I had, she even took all pictures I have in my post for my first gown shopping... The best....if the opposite would have happened to me I would have make a scandal right there I am buying not begging u know what I mean.....

well that sucks! you're excited about your wedding and dress shopping and then you have a bad experiance. i'm sure the next one will be better for you i have not had a bad one eveywhere i went the ladys were very nice so their out there good luck!

Yep. My first bridal shop was strange. The layd who owned the place had two shops. A flower shop, and a bridal shop. The were in the same shopping plaza, but about 300 yards from each other. My mom and I called and she had us meet her at the flower shop so that she could 'walk' us over to the bridal store! She unlocked the door and the place was a MESS. There were dresses everywhere.

I grabbed some of the rack and she showed us to the dressing room, which was just a big open space. There were no places to hang the dresses except on the WALL overhang, which by the way, was already covered in dresses that had not been put away yet. So I began trying on the dresses, with NO help from the owner. We were the only ones there for a while, but then other brides began filtering in. We were all in this tiny room together undressing...uh no thanks. I'm not that modest, but I don't like getting down to my undies with total strangers!

When I was finished with the dresses I picked out, I started trying on the ones that were already hanging. The owner took THAT moment to come in and tell me that I could NOT try on those dresses, because THEY BELONGED TO OTHER BRIDES. Are you kidding? Why were they not put away? What if I had bought a dress from there, and I found out this is how the owner was storing my expensive dress, I would go ballistic!
