Wedding Planner - Rich Bride, Poor Bride Spinoff - ELLIEBELLIE's Blue Wedding by Color Blog

So curiousity got the best of me.
I have been watching alot of bridal themed shows that I normally would never watch. i.e Say yes to the dress, 4 weddings, Rich Bride Poor Bride and Wedding SOS.
I found out someone I knew was on RBPB and not knowing really anything about the show I emailed them for some more info.
Well the casting agent called me today and asked me if I wanted to come in for an audition for a spinoff called Rich Groom, Poor Groom
I would have to give total control and planning to Ken (which I am ok with)
In turn I get a planner and a sum of cash
Not bad eh!!!
But I am super nervous. i see the brides they have on the show and I am soooooooo not like that
I just don't know if we as a couple would make it for good TV lol
anyone have any tips???
Ken and I are almost done our planning since our wedding is 95 days away....siiiiigh

well if u trust him, GO FOR IT! it will be something you can tell your kids and extra cash why not?!?

I agree with the other ladies go for it, if anything just feed him you idea in the privacy of home and let him execute. it might save you some stress too

I think it would be an incredible opportunity! You never know what'll happen (good or unfortunately bad) but you don't want to think later that you should have done it and then you're kickin' yourself in the butt. :)

So, Kevin and I went in for an audition for RBPB in Feb because Angelique is our planner and she got us in for one.

Kevin was super nervous so we bombed the audition. He said he just didn't feel right about it. They were looking for couples that banter and fight about everything, lots of drama and that is so not us....and Kevin didn't even want to play along with it despite me trying to convince him otherwise because of all of the perks. They get about 2500 applications a season, they were bringing in 200 and narrowing it down to 13...so we didn't have a chance.

The people were super friendly...but beware, they videotape your audition.

I agree about the bickering. Ken and I are not like that at all for the wedding.
But this show is different then RBPB it is now up to the groom to organzie everything
Ken is really good at surprises always has been.

Oh boy, well I confirmed for tomorrow. If we don't get it at least I won't kick myself later for not trying

What kind of questions do they ask??

They are very general and asked questions like "tell us about the planning...budget etc"...I think they were looking for us to bicker about those topics and Kevin basically said "its all up to her....whatever makes her happy"....which totally isnt the case but there is some truth to it.

I said the same thing, I would kick myself if I hadn't done it...it was fun while it lasted and makes for a good conversation piece!

BTW- I see you are from Caledonia...I went to high school in Dunnville...small world!

My hubby was born and raised here!!!

We had alot of fun today in the audition
Ken and I really got them going....so we will see
We did not bicker at all, but poked at one another lol, but that is who we are...they said 3 weeks we may get a call
