Hey ladies,
Our pictures have come in and I have been busy updating my past Wedding by Colour posts with pictures of some of my DIY projects and other things as they actually appeared at my wedding and reception. I'm not done yet, but I thought that I would let you guys know just in case anybody wanted to take a look at my old posts and see the photos of the way things turned out.

Going through the thousands of pictures from the day is a monumental task so I will probably take a little while to update every post, once I have I will leave one final post as a sign off and goodbye to all of you lovely ladies!

I am back from my Honeymoon and some of our wedding photos have been put up online. We will be receiving the rest of the photos (about 1000!!!) in 3 to 4 weeks. When I get all of the photos back I am going to go back through my blog and add the photos of my DIY projects and other items as they appeared at the wedding. Well ladies...
It has been wonderful planning, sharing, venting, obsessing and discussing with all of you! I will marry my best friend in only 3 short days and I can't wait!

-Tomorrow (Wednesday) I am adding the fruit (green apples & pears) to the OOT baskets, and wrapping them up.
-Thursday I have to pick up the tux, pack for the honeymoon, attend the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
-Friday I will be picking up the flowers for the pew cones and putting them all together with my mom and sister. I'll be sleeping at my parents' house and when I wake up Saturday morning it will be my WEDDING DAY!

I can't believe how quickly the time has flown by, although at first it seemed that this day was so far away.

I will absolutely return and post pictures when we get them back after the honeymoon!

5 days to the wedding and I'm SO EXCITED!!! Can't sleep at night, my mind is running through lists of logistical stuff constantly!
I've got some things to do to keep my mind occupied before the wedding.

-weed the garden
-plant some flowers
-buy some hanging baskets
-dust
-vacuum
-last load of laundry before honeymoon
-write Rob's card
-finish packing honeymoon stuff

I've been gardening today, it's incredibly hard to do without breaking my nails, which I have been growing so that they will be the perfect length. I'm also trying not to get any funny tan lines so that I won't look ridiculous in my dress.

6 days to the wedding, nothing new to post, so I pose this question to all of you B2B...

What colour is your dress?
ivory, champagne, white, diamond white, light gold? Something else?

Just curious as to which wedding dress colour will come out on top as the most popular choice!

I am one of those people that once they start crying they cry uncontrollably. I don't want to be a sobbing, snot covered bride, so, to that end...

Does anybody have any good methods either to prevent yourself from crying, or to stop crying once you have begun? I have already begun reading my speech over and over to avoid crying during that, and listening to our first dance song and father/daughter dance song over and over to avoid crying there...

Any tips?

SINGLE DIGITS!!! I can count the remaining days on my hands! I can't believe it's only 9 days till the wedding!!!

Today I:
-boxed the jelly beans for the OOT baskets
-dropped off final payment at the reception site
-dropped off the seating chart
-confirmed the reception linens
-went to check out my sister's MOH dress
-started packing my friday night bag
-started packing my wedding night bag
-started packing for the honeymoon
-started packing up Bossy's stuff for his trip to my Mother in Law's

Tomorrow I get to pick up my wedding dress!!!! So exciting!!!

Let me start by saying that I have no clue why there are stripes on the pictures when I upload them to this website, they are not striped in actuality.

Here are my DIY bridesmaid gift boxes. I am going to wrap them in ivory tulle and tie each one with a green bow.

I got some inexpensive green round boxes from Michaels and simply attached green and ivory ribbons around the outside with glue dots and my glue gun. I think they are so cute!

I'm not going to say what is inside them, just in case my bridesmaids decide to do some reading here. =0)

Hey Y'all,
2 weeks to the wedding now and almost all of the tasks are done. All I have left to do is:
-write cards for Rob, Mom, Dad
-pack wedding night bag
-pack for honeymoon
-clean house for photos!
-HEAL MY ANKLE

I am having my highlights touched up on Tuesday and having a follow-up appt for my ankle. I will pick up my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses on Thursday. If I cannot walk normally by then I'm going to have to give up on the idea of wearing my heels and have my dress hemmed up to go with flip flops. But... that's not going to happen, I'm going to heal my ankle this week. Chant it with me HEAL HEAL HEAL!!!

These pictures are from my Bridal Shower a little while back, finally I got around to uploading them. The "Bouquet of Advice" was put together by my Mother in Law to be and bridesmaids. Each flower has advice on it from one of the ladies that attended my shower. I think it is SO adorable. The roses are from my Dad, SO beautiful!

Alright,
So I went to the hospital to get a new set of x-rays taken and examined. It turns out that I did not break or fracture anything, but that soft tissue damage is actually worse. The doctor told me that if I keep my foot elevated and have ice on it in 10 minute increments for the next week or so I should be able to walk just inside of 2 weeks. That means that my beautiful heels, with the adorable signatures on the soles are probably out for the wedding. Currently I am thinking about doing it barefoot, just for comforts sake. I really don't want my ankle to go out and to have me fall on the way down the aisle.

Because of the aforementioned doctors' orders, I must complete any tasks left on my list from the couch. So... today I finished...

Well, with only 3 weeks left to the wedding, I somehow managed to fall down the stairs at home last night and twist my ankle very badly. I am now on crutches and in quite a bit of pain. I had X-rays taken today and am waiting to hear whether I have broken or fractured anything in my ankle.
I have SO MUCH left to do, and cannot drive or walk around because it is my right foot! The doctor said I might require physical therapy once I can move my foot again. UGH!!!
This better heal fast, I don't want to walk down the aisle in crutches! I won't be able to dance, what about our honeymoon!? Oh my gosh, I'm having a freak out.
I guess I could attach some flowers and lace to the crutches... somehow I don't think that's gonna cut it!

I had my Bachelorette Party last night, thrown by my totally awesome Maid of Honour, my sister Sarah!

We had pizza and pre-drinks at my parents' house, I got some totally fun gifts and then we hopped in the limo to go to a nightclub in Mississauga called BodyEnglish. We had bottle service and a good time was had by all. Lots of random people came to congratulate me and hug me, also lots of people I didn't know wanted to have their pictures taken with me.

An amazing night!

Now there are only 25 days to the wedding, time to dig in and finish all my projects up!

I can't believe it's only one month away now. 30 shor t days till I marry my best friend! I've still got lots of little things to get done but the big things are all complete, and I know my Mom will do everything in her power to help stay organized and get everything done. I'm excited, but it does feel strange to be so close, after I have been counting down for so long. It feels like I hit the 100 day mark only yesterday! Time flies when you're having fun planning a wedding! YAY! One month left to go! YAY!
P.S.- a WBC site suggestion... It would be neat to have a calendar on the main page that has the usernames of the brides on it to show their wedding dates. It has been neat to discover how many brides here are getting married on the same day as me, and a calendar would show that nicely!

It has finally hit me that the wedding is right around the corner!
My wedding shower was last weekend and it was wonderful! I got lots of wonderful gifts and really felt all the love and great wishes from everyone who came. I got a Nintendo Wii as one of my shower gifts, unconventional I know, but something Rob and I have wanted for quite a while now. We play video games together often. My dad also made an appearance which made me cry. He brought me 24 ivory roses, one for every year that I've been his little girl, and now he's giving me away. We danced to "Butterfly Kisses" (a song that is banned at the wedding because it makes me too emotional) and almost everybody had some tears. I'll post some shower pictures once I get them from my sister's camera.
This weekend we will be having a "wrapping party" to get all the wedding favours wrapped. They are all little square boxes with a little ceramic container in them that will have 3 delicious chocolates. We are going to wrap all the boxes in brown kraft paper and different green ribbons around each one. They will go on the center of each plate on the guest tables. Soooooo cute!

Hey y'all!
I have not seen this movie, and probably won't until it comes out on video, but am totally inspired by this dress. It's NOT the typical dress I would pick out for myself, but I'd like to rock a look like this for my bachelorette (but maybe a touch shorter). Have you seen a dress like this somewhere? I have to start shopping tomorrow. I'm thinking mayber Le Chateau, or possibly BCBG. I've never worn anything bright like this, and I think this might be the time!

*UPDATE* So, it turns out that hot pink dresses do not mesh well with red hair. Instead I got an all white fitted dress that is off the shoulder. With a thick white leather belt and white pumps. It looks super sexy, I'll take pictures at some point and post em' up!

**UPDATED AUGUST 12: Added photo of me wearing my flipflops at the wedding. I HIGHLY recommend doing the flip flop basket!!! The ladies loved the idea and although I had 20 pairs of flip flops and 20 pairs of sandals they were all taken from the baskets within the first 45 minutes of the reception! People danced all night long in their comfy flip flop and slippers, and with my ankle injury, I appreciated the flip flops too!**

So, some of you may have seen in earlier posts, my basket of slippers for the ladies that have to take off their heels during the evening. I also popped into Old Navy and picked up some metallic green and metallic ivory flip flops for the ladies. I think I'm going to put them into a wicker beach tote in the bathroom beside the basket of sandals. I might tie a little green ribbon onto the thong part of each sandal, that would be cute. I think older women will prefer the slippers, while the younger women will prefer the flip flops. We shall see.
Hopefully having all of these options will keep people dancing till the place shuts down!

I am just enamored with all of the "Wedding Wear" that's around! I already have the Victoria's Secret "Sexy Little Bride" hoodie, but I haven't worn it yet, but I don't know, how long can you really draw out the "I'm the Bride!" thing without looking like a crazy woman? Can you wear "Bride Gear" anywhere, anytime or only when you are on wedding related errands? Do I make any sort of sense or am being ridiculous?

With 58 days to the wedding, can I wear my "Bride" gear yet? Honestly, tell me what you think!

(Oh, and what about that other stuff? To buy or not to buy? I hate that there is no Victoria's Secret in Canada!)

When you choose your dress so early into your wedding preparations sometimes you wonder whether you made the right choice... I ABSOLUTELY made the right choice for me! Unlike the bride in that cartoon, I know I will have no regrets about my choice, not now, not ever.
I wish I could post a picture of the dress here, but I'm too worried that Rob will see it, so you'll all have to wait until after my wedding to see photos.

Today I had my final fitting! All the alterations are done, the bustle was beautiful, the veil was in, I tried it all! Veil, shoes, jewellery, I almost cried!
I am so happy with everything! I just danced around the fitting room like an idiot!

Now all I have to do is make sure I gain absolutely no weight in the next 58 days, I can lose a little, but gain NONE!

Well, since this was a long weekend here in Canada, I worked to cross some things off of my ever expanding to do list.

DONE:
-Chose vows/readings for ceremony
-Selected ceremony music & contacted ceremony musicians

-Wrote rough draft of speech (cried just on the rough draft!)
-Sent "Must Have" pose list to photographers
-Completed and sent worksheets to "Day of" Wedding co-ordinator

Today I realized that we have no Facebook group!

I have created a Facebook group for any of us that are interested in joining and sharing. I thought that some of the brides here would be interested in using the Facebook chat and that it would be a great way for us to share our photos with one another after our weddings have come and gone!

Just wondering if any of you are teachers like myself?
I am currently teaching grade 3 and wedding planning and teaching at once has been challenging for me (especially since I am a first year teacher!)

I have made up some fun worksheets for my students asking them questions about love and marriage and with spots to draw myself and my H2B on our wedding day. I'm going to put their sheets together into a little book. I think that the book will be a really fun keepsake, and a great way to make my students feel involved in my big day! I was also thinking that I could take the book to share at my Bridal shower for a bit of a laugh.

If anyone is interested in the worksheets, I have created them in Microsoft Word and I will gladly send them to you. You would have to edit them to change the names, but they are super cute. They would be good to use with your students, or perhaps some young nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, etc. in your family!

Actually, you could even have them on your children's table at your wedding, if the children there would be old enough to complete the pages.

While I was surfing through here a while ago I came across a bride's page with a picture of a bride on a swing that I loved. I have no idea why I didn't save it, but now I would like to send it to my photographer as an idea to use. Unfortunately I can't remember what bride had the picture, and the site search has proved fruitless.

My mom did some DIY for our wedding! Like mother like daughter! She made these flower cones in our colours to hang on the chairs going up the aisle during the ceremony!

After the ceremony I think we will hang them on the banister that goes up the staircase to the ballroom where out reception will be held. We might lay one down on the bar and on the cake table as well (like pictures 5 & 6)
I LOVE them!

**UPDATED AUGUST 12: Added photo of bridesmaids in their dresses**

This is the dress that the Bridesmaids will be wearing. It is an After Six dress in the colour "kiwi". It looks kind of grey/gold in this picture, but it is greener in person (it's like sage)
I love this dress, I want one for myself, it fits beautifully.

I made these as a DIY alternative to the ugly table numbers and menus that our venue provides. Easy to create and print, they match our invitations, ceremony programs and other assorted wedding related things. The table number cards and table menu cards will be set up on in a metal holder back to back with the small green card sandwiched between them, there will be one at each table. The small green cards have questions like, "who travelled the greatest distance to be here today?", "who has known the bride the longest?" etc. This will give away our centerpieces to a winner at each table instead of playing that pass around the napkin game we've all seen a dozen times!

I thought that I'd introduce my wedding party. They are three of the most beautiful women that I know and I am so happy and honoured that they have agreed to be a part of our special day!

Sarah: Sarah is my Maid of Honour. She is my sister and one of my best friends. We have experienced so many things together and I'm excited to have her stand beside me on my wedding day!

Emily & Missy: Emily and Missy are my Bridesmaids. They are Rob's two sisters, and my soon to be sister-in-laws. They are such fun, friendly and wonderful women and I can't wait to be a part of their family!

Our aisle runner has been completed and is on it's way to us! This is a photo of it and I'm super excited! It turned out exactly like the drawing she sent us and I can't wait to see it in person! YAY!!!
