Photobooth!!
has anyone had a wedding with a booth?
so i have found a photobooth for our wedding, it isnt booked yet but the price is right and i think it would be alot of fun we will be getting 2 sets of prints 1 for the guest and 1 for the book which they will then sign and we will use as our guestbook (i have inquired but not booked)
my question is has anyone else had one at theyre wedding? how did it work out? did it get used alot? i just think it would be a great way to blow off some steam and just have fun :) |

Perfect idea!!
my fiance and i have been together for 7 years now 4 of those we were living together....so, when it came to a git registry we were a little stumped, we already had everything we needed and with our home we couldnt really handle a whole bunch of gifts (as much as we love gifts :)...) so after cruizing a few sites online ...and a few hundred more for ideas... i came across this one...

http://www.rentalvancouverisland.com/ it looks absolutely amazing! we decided that we would got to bc for our honeymoon my fiance was raised for the most part in a smaller town called comox there and has always wanted to go back there but we have never been able to afford to go, so, we figured what better time to go than for our honeymoon :) now he will be able to show our son all the things he did and places he went when he was a kid :) (yes we will be taking our son with us, although it is a honeymoon the bigger picture is it is a start to a new life and he is by far the best part of our lives, it wouldnt be right to go without him) <3 |

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
my ring :)
well for my ring i had looked at a few of the usual glitsy glammy blingy looking rings and although very beautiful they were both wayyy out of our price range and just not really me...
i had wanted something that in some way meant more to me than just something shiny... a few years back my grandpa had passed away and within a couple of weeks i lost my grandma too i was 8.5 months pregnant with my son at the time and was really looking forward for him to meet them (we were very close) and so it was a ver hard time. about a year later we went back to England (where im from and most of my family are still living) and my dad had given me my grandmothers wedding band and engagement ring he had said he wanted me to have them (before my fiance and i were engaged) ... i kept them in a special box on my dresser all that time, they were very small and i didnt want to wear them on a necklace incase i lost them... after we were engaged i decided my grandmothers ring would be perfect, they had been happily married for over 50 years and the rings deserve better than to live in a box... my grandma would want me to wear them : ) i will be getting them resized soon and then theyll be ready to go |

troubled?
so heres the thing... i had always assumed that i would let all the girls pick out their own dresses then they would all feel comfortable in what they had chosen and in my opinion the various styles of dresses always looks much better than just 1 set dress on different sized/shaped people... however now i am a little concerned to do this as my colour is 'red wine' and as i have found out by purchasing other wedding items 'red wine' varies in shade like you would not believe, which, with any other colour would just add to the unique-ness and great general look of the bridal party... BUT red is not really a colour you can mix and match shades with and not come out with something clashy and terrible... i thought about going into a bridal store and looking for a swatch of fabric the same colour but 1) you cannot expect anyone to get there dress in the bridal stores as i have and im sure everyone else has noticed the prices are a tad higher than any other dress stores and 2) you still cant guarantee that they will be able to find something in that exact colour also if the fabric is all different then the colours are going to appear differently anyway... did anyone else have this trouble with red dresses? what was your verdict? how did it turn out?

Wedding Decoration
Best decision ever to hire a decorator :)
we actually were planning on doing the decorating ourselves however after thinking deeply about all involved we decided to look at other ideas and it was the best thing ever :)
with all of my family flying over from England and my fiance's family travelling from all over we decided that we would rather spend the time we had with them enjoying it rather than decorating not to mention the total price of all the damask patterend items (not a cheap theme) and finding everything... so we chatted back and forth with debbie from debobella.com probably driving her crazy with all of the questions and finally decided to hire her! she has been absolutely amazing she responds to all of my questions and concerns very quickly, anything that i have wanted she has gone out and found (even if its not in her stock) and all at a very reasonable price... cant beat that!! |

still deciding on my hair...
when it comes to my hair i have not set ideas on anything yet... i really wanted to have it down like in the pictures shown but i am now wondering if in the middle of june it would be better to have an updo that will last rather than leaving it down and chancing that it may go frizzy or pouffy... what do you think? is there anyone else that has had a wedding mid june with this problem? how did you hair stand the heat?

our wedding diy's
as im sure most people are we are on a pretty tight budget and so i decided to make alot of things myself here is a few of the things i have made so far :)
we will be having a candy buffet at our wedding in the colours of the day - the candy will also be our favors at the end of the night as we have alot of out of towners and out of country - ers lol and so we figured we needed something thats fun but wont take up a lot of space or become useless item ilater on down the road - i have made the sign for the wall as well as labels for the bags and a poem to put on each table to explain to the guests how it works :) (there is another one coming but i am having technical difficulties with it) |
