Hair or make-up first?

They way my day has been planned was on the idea that my hairdresser is npt coming to the venue so my hair has to be done first but now I'm thinking surely my hair can't be done first. Shouldn't my make up be done first?

I'm not sure which on to do first, i suppose it depends on the type of hairstyle I'll have. I'll speak to both the hair stylist & the make uop artist.

The plan was to start with my hair at 07:00 am (so early I know)
Make up to be done at 10:00 am.

Should I change things around so my make up can be done first or should I leave everything as is?

when i went for my trials they did my hair first then my makeup. Where ever you are going ask them what they prefer to do first.
Personally, I would prefer my makeup to be done last, makeup tends to fade and wear off throughout the day so if I have that done last then when it comes pictures etc I know that it'll be fine!

yep, i thought make up was done last too... hair takes longer and u cansweat under the heat and such, unless u taliking about just styling but i still think hair then make up

Always hair first then makeup, not sure why, but it's what they teach you in beauty school too. (I went for 2 years in high school) Trust that they know what they are doing, my wedding isn't until 6PM but my hair stylist and makeup artists arrive at 2PM, this is so we have time to do our first look at 4:20.

I'm getting my hair done first and then makeup it all starts at 8:30, then I read that you put a bag over you head to put your dress on so you don't get makeup on your dress, sounds funny to me.

Hair first... depending what you get done it may ruin your make up...ALSO hair stays longer then make-up does, the oils in your skin and heat usually take it off throughout the day so u want it done as late as possible. Make sure for both you wear a shirt with zippers or buttons down the front so you don't have to lift it over ur head and have someone bring extra make-up and hairspray along with them throughout the day for you :)

I'll then keep my appointments as is.

Hair first for me, it takes a while to set, and with hair dryers, hair straightner heat and sprays surely your make up will be affected,

I think its a great idea to start with your hair sweety

I always do my hair first, or else I get makeup in  my hair. Once your hair is out of the way, its easier to do the makeup after!
