I decided to write a few blogs about the wedding and accompany them with pics and so sharing all the moments of my day with all of you.
As I opened my eyes when I heard my BM making coffee I was still waiting for the nerves, To this point I had not been nervous at all & I had plenty reason to be, yet I was in a complete state of calm. My BMs had been saying for at least 2 months before the wedding that Im way too calm & I thought the same but I suppose I was waiting for it.
Getting up wasnt a hassle because I couldnt lie in bed anymore as I had curlers in my hair & it was so uncomfortable. It was the worst night sleep ever! But its painful to be beautiful so I held out. :- )
Why did I sleep with curlers you ask? With my trial my curls didnt last very long & seeing a though I really wanted curls my solutions was to just have them in as long as possible, so I went to have my hair set the day before the wedding. As painful as it was, it was completely worth it. Those werent my words when the next morning the curls were still a bit wet, But I got though another hour under the dryer & in the end it turned out great!
My make up went well & fast as always ( with a good make up artist, you wont have hassles) I changed a few little things from my trial, a bit less sparkle as it was an outside wedding & crying & sparkles dont go so well together.
So with my face & hair done, One of my bridesmaids & myself jumped in the car to head off to the venue. (My other bridesmaids went to the venue before us to start with their make up) So as My BM & I as just about to head off in her car to the venue (we were rushing as we were running late) she bumped some womans car on the side. When we realised what had happened we both got a big fright & a million thoughts went through our heads. She turned down her window to speak to the woman & with her first word started crying (Luckily her make up wasnt done yet) The other woman immediately put her arms in the car & gave her a Hug, I thought that was so nice of her. We stepped out to see the damage & luckily there was barely anything. So the woman said What can we do? Its not worth getting upset, Go & Enjoy the wedding We were stunned at her kindness & very much relieved.
With my BM being in a state I told her to jump in the passenger seat so we could go, Not long till we were laughing about it & thanking our stars that the woman was so nice otherwise we would have been late for the wedding!
As we got to the venue I didnt have time to look at the venue as I had to get dressed to start taking photos but as we drove past we could see the lanterns hanging above the tables & I smiled! I couldnt believe how beautiful it looked. Just a pity that I couldnt see more, luckily I had my friend & my sister-in-law on the job to set everything up & FH & the groomsmen were there to help out so I knew all was in good hands.
Congrats gal!!!
