So I'm sitting here on saturday morning casually reading everyone else's blogs, and I've got the TV on in the background and its on a music channel and I just had this huge inspiration that I just had to comment on, and also I NEED opinions on this one, so please comment.
FH and I have been slightly panicking about the 1st dance. Neither of us are slushy romantic types and although I love the sentiment and always cry when I see other people do it (I do love some romance), I think we would just look awkward! And we really want to put some fun into our wedding, so we had thought about doing one of those dances that starts off romantic, then cuts to something wild and we do a crazy dance. We've seen quite a few of these around at the moment, especially on you-tube but also don't want to copy everyone else's ideas. So we were totally stuck for what we would do.
And then this song just came on, and at the same time a lightbulb in my head switched on.
The song was by The Pigs (I never heard of them) and was a country version of Beyonces' Put a Ring On It. It was hilarious. So I'm having visions of us doing like a really upbeat and crazy country/Western dancing/line dance, maybe even using cowboy hats and boots, and maybe even teaching a couple of the wedding party to join us half way through.
I'm thinking we wouldn't actually do this 1st, but maybe later in the night like around 9pm while everyone is still there, but the party atmosphere is definitely going, and I'd probably change into a shorter dress.
My family and friends all joke that I turned into a country bumpkin when I moved to small-town australia (which I kind of did) and I think this would just be perfect.
But am I right? Is this too crazy, does it just sound stupid to you? Tell me for real, because I don't want to get carried away with myself doing something that everyone else doesn't get!
Please please let me know what you think.
