I found these cute invitations for the bachelorette party and wanted to share. My bachelorette party has been themed: Miss Independence Girlfriend Getaway Weekend (M.I.G.G) . I got this idea from the contest off Brides.com. This will be the first year of many years to come. My girlfriends and I will begin to getaway a particular weekend every year just 2 celebrate our friendship. I am in the process of creating
t-shirts/tanks with an independent gilrfiends logo and distribute at my bachelorette party July 4th. Do you have any ideas on what I should use or colors? What do you think of the invite? |

Yipppie!!! My Wedding invitations have finally arrived. I am so very happy with the final outcome. I was so excited and nervous that I waited unitl my fiance came over to open the box. In that moment it hit me..."I'M really GETTING MARRIED"...It's amazing how loosely those words are often used but it wasn't unitl I actually saw the invitation with FH and my name on it. I was truly a happy moment. So I had to post a pic of the invite, RSVP Postcard and labels. What do you think? A special Thank you to Amy Leigh from Etsy.com she does fantastic work. May 31st MY BIRTHDAY!!!
On May 31st I turned 31....Yippie! I had a wonderful birthday full of love and support from family, friends and ofcourse my future husband. So much has happened since turning 30 and now I am 31...boy does time fly.... I am 31 and getting married. Wow! That even shocks me...I will embrace this age and all that it entails. At least tat this age I still look 20...they say thirties are the new twentys....Go figure!

Okay, so as you can see... I'm not your average bride. I love to change things up and add a lillte sassiness/classiness to it. My idea of a wedding is to make it memorable, unique and make it your own...with this in mind... My ladies will be carrying peacock feather fans. The matrons will be carrying flowered bouquets with bursts of peacock feathers mixed in. I will be carrying a cascading bouquet with roses, peacock feathers and cala lilies while being attached to a fan. I will post more pics of fans soon.

Finally after paying for the dress in full and 12 pounds lighter...I have had a change of heart...go figure! Hopefully by September I will fall back in love with my already purchased dressed. What do you think....Should I wear a veil with this dress and an up do or no veil? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

My 5 honorary bridesmaids will be wearing this dress along with a flower in their hair. This dress is so flattering on and will definitely make the all ready brides husband look at them twice. I especially love the bold colors and the great price. My honorary brides along with hteir husbands will join Derek and I for the first dance.

Finally Bridesmaid Dresses Selected
Hi Ladies,
Okay, so it only took me about 3 months of going back and forth with my mom and bridesmaid about the dresses and colors. As you know my entire wedding theme is Peacock. I am so relieved and excited to be officially done with choosing the ladies dresses... I definitely did not get the email that this would be a difficult task. I love all of my girls dearly but choosing the color of the dress was becoming more of a headache than I bargained for. I had to take in mind that most of my friends who are now married or have been in other weddings along with me the color has always been RED.... being that I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta... I would likely choose red .... Well, after many nights praying and complaining to my FH, mom and bestfriend. I decided to stick with my mom's idea and go with PEACOCK. Please let me know what you think. Also what color shoes would you wear with this dress? |
