I like the idea of taking the swirls from the rings and putting them in gold on a white cake

I've finally settled on a design but of course it's not the one I orignally panned on using. I'm going with our names at the top with initials to divide the rest of the invite; celtic-like border around everything to balance the pearl embossed border already on the invites.

So I'm getting my Gerbers but I think I'll still with potted plants, maybe mums, for the reception tables.

I finally got to ordering the rings for us. I'm still not convinced that he'll wear his, they're very ornate. He says he will. German tradition has the bride and groom wearing the rings on the opposite hand during the engagment sot that's what we're doing since ther germans don't wear diamonds

We're opting for a cabin in the middle of the woods for a couple of days. It will be nice to get out of town and enjoy what God has given to us.

We're having an outdoor reception at our house. I'm getting a friend to roast a pig and I plan to have traditional german dishes to keep witht he theme. Any ideas?

I'm very proud of my german heritage so we're planning a german themed wedding. We're including all the traditions like sawing a log after the ceremony, walking down the aisle together, having a wedding weekend instead of one day, etc. I've included the colors from ther German flag in the decorations mostly the red and gold with black accents.

My centerpieces for my reception will be red Gerber daisies with gold mums and bear grass in Mason jars. I'll have smaller jars around the large jar with votive candles in them and our date and names on them. I'm thinking of putting black ribbon around the top of the jars for an accent color (our colors are black, red, gold to keep with our german-themed wedding).

I believe I'm going to have my hair down in ringlets, it's about to the middle of my back with layers about two inches from the bottom. I'd love to have a veil, maybe fingertip length, but hate the fact that people are going to pulling on it everytime I get a hug.

We're planning on buying a Victorian house to fix up so if anyone can't find a suitable gift from JCPenny's we're asking for gift cards from Lowe's.

We've known each other for years and have always had some weird 6 degrees of separation or something.
When we finally started dating, we were just talking about bouncing back and forth between houses and living together
When I told him I wasn't moving in with him unless we were married (I thought he'd back off like most guys do) and he said set a date.

We're just wearing bands, both him and me
I'm not a jewelry wearer so I didn't really want a big diamond sitting on my hand

I have ivory flat invitations that I've purchased from Staples with an embossed rectangular border. Our names will be in the top corners followed by a picture of intertwined gold rings with rest of the wording underneath.

It was a blessing when my hubby-to-be suggested I use them in the wedding. I'll also be using Gerber daisies.

I loved it but I was shooting for an ivory dress
I tried three other shops and even tried the same dress on in another shop but they wanted $300 more there
I finally went back to the initial shop and put a deposit on it.
