Paper Lanterns
Buy or Rent?

For those that have researched or have already used them already...was it cheaper to buy or to rent?

And how many did you get??? Normal pricing?

I'm doing a tented reception, most likely, and I have NO clue of how many to get!

I'm with you, I have no idea how many to buy either! I found this blog http://www.weddingbee.com/2008/03/13/paper-lantern-inspiration/ about paper lanterns, and she bought 48 in 3 different sizes for $170, which seems really reasonable to me. We are renting the largest tent our rental place has, since we are having 210+ guests, so I think I will ask them what they think, and if they have any to rent. Hope this helps :)

it was really cheap for me to rent them.  plus the set them up for me:)  always nice.  and the girl recommended how many she thought would be the right number!

I'll probably end up renting mine unless the company doesn't have the colors I want (light green & natural) in which case I'll probably just buy however many they suggest getting & I'll sell them on craigslist or something after the wedding.
