Any Weddings with NO ALCOHOL ?

Open Bar is out of our budget and in order to serve drinks at the reception place we have to pay additional fees. So we decided to go without any alcohol at all.

What kind of drinks do you usually serve at a non-alcohol wedding? Do you have several kinds? What are you doing for your wedding?

I'm debating about this because none of my family drinks! I'm thinking about doing something sort of like a drinks bar with different flavors of Izze, Jone's Soda, etc. pretty much different colors of glass bottled drinks. Check my blog I have a picture and I just love how it looks! You could try doing different shades of pink drinks!

we might not have any alcohol at ours either, except for the toasts.  but i agree with sexylilbride if you want to do something creative.  if not just go with pop, water, lemonade, juices, the usual.

We're having a non-alcohol reception.  We're having sparkling cider for the toast.  We found a really good one from Ikea.  We'll also be having lemonade, sweet tea & bottled water to drink during dinner.  There will also be a variety of hot teas & coffee to choose from & a sparkling punch, which will be our "Signature Drink".  We have lots of friends & family who drinks, but I honestly think that with the variety, no one will miss out too much.   And the sparkling cider we found tastes like real champagne, so hopefully they will feel like they're getting the real thing, lol.

I decided a while ago not to do alcohol. It's too much weighed on my heart with my guests driving and stuff. I cant serve alcohol or soda either, unless I want to pay extra (heck no!!). Im serving punch, tea, and coffee!

Since my reception is more of a lunch I'm doing a coffee station and guests can also get iced tea and punch. Plus, many of our guests LOVE coffee so it's perfect. I really didn't want to do the bar at all but I decided to provide a cash bar for guests that did want to drink. Well, mostly because my mom felt that some of our relatives would be insulted if we didn't have some kind of bar.

we had an alchohol free wedding, neither of us drink, neither do most of our friends or immediate family. The only people who owuld have would have been his coworkers and a few relatives.
We had an earlier dinner wedding in summer, so we had hibiscus lemonade, iced coffees, sweet tea and a sparkling punch. And of course water and coffee.

We're going the "no alcohol" route and people can fuss if they like but it's not in the budget! We want to have a signature drink, strawberry lemonade, and the norm pop and juice.

I had a "dry" reception. I served ice water and a great punch that my mother in law makes. Almost a "slushie" type drink. Everyone LOVED it, and my mother in law has been asked to make it for weddings of my friends. :)

I went to a friends' wedding a few months ago and they along with the typical sodas had smoothies. They were such a huge hit.

we aren't doing alcohol at our wedding.  no one in mine or his family are big drinkers so it would be a waste.  plus it's not in budget.  we aren't even doing alcohol during the toast.  since we are getting married in the fall we are thinking about doing apple cider for him and i and everyone else, we will do punch or something.  tea and water is what is being served to drink.  then i'm adding punch to drink with the cake.

Do what you are most comfortable with and don't worry about what anyone else thinks! :)  I like the ideas listed already.  Lemonade is a big hit.. if you are having it during the summer time, its a big staple of summer.  or even something like a snow cone station would be really cool!  Good luck deciding!

Honestly, just a variety of juices and maybe a special coffee would be good if you are having a dry wedding. Myself...couldn't have a dry wedding; I went to one last summer and it was so quiet and tame; hardly anyone danced so it was kinda pointless that they hired a DJ. they should have replaced the DJ with an iPod player and served some alcohol. Even people who rarely drink often like to have wine at a wedding. I'm not saying your situation will be the same at all, however.

I decided to leave the alcohol out of mine as well. Some of my family drinks but I really don't care. FH just got married in Feb and I saw some people get straight wild and I was like I wanna see them without the liquor included. If they decide to drink they bring it on they own or save till after the wedding in my favor.
