I love this little collage of images. We just had bought a new home, so we wanted to show it in our pictures because it's an important time for us! Hanging out in front of our new home! He always reads to me at night, so we wanted to show that part of our relationship. In front of our new home! this was taken in our amazing lounge, that was featured on garage mahal on the DIY channel! love! coffee shop love! We met at a coffee shop, so we felt it was an important thing to show in our engagement pics images from our new town...Old Town San Fernando! I love the looks on our face, so typical us! Our photographer is so great, I love all the angles she got here! We didn't realize she was still shooting us, but I think this definitely shows our personality! Nothing better than kissing the man I love! |
Engagement
We finally took our engagement photos!
It's starting to feel like our wedding is getting close!!! One of the things I have been so excited to do is take our engagement photos with our wedding photographer, Dana Grant (danagrantphotography.com). She's so talented and I have been watching her blog and every time she posts pictures of people...I would get more excited! She just always captures the cutest moments... Finally, it was our turn!
Yesterday, we spent a few hours with her taking pics at our house and then at a few local spots in San Fernando. She put up with my 3 outfit changes (and so did Andy!!) and was totally a good sport about getting all the shots I wanted. I know it seems so silly to be this excited about photos, but I just think about 40 years down the road, when we will look back at these and revel in how young and in love we were. Ever since my Dad passed away, I realized that I cherish every single photo of him because I get to see his smile. I have pictures of my parents from the night my mom says they fell in love. I LOVE that photo...it's just so innocent and young...and hopeful. I suppose that has made these pictures more worthwhile for me. Of course, I just love pictures....everyone knows that about me, but it was just really exciting to capture this moment in time. We just bought a house, we are getting married in about 6 months and we are totally in love...what could be a better time to take pictures!?? |

Ask a Question
Is there a way to add multiple colors?
Our wedding is really black and white with a accent of red...but it doesn't really allow that on here, right?
Seems like I should be able to pick primary colors and then accents on a site called weddingbycolor. Am I already complaining too much? HA! |

The Proposal
He's a romantic
He absolutely surprised and stunned me when I had just come home from a work trip....
picked me up at the airport amazing dinner- filet mignon, wine and chocolate souffle and then I opened up our front door to a dark house ...with over 200 candles burning and rose petals leading the way to what was my own little bachelorette set moment... a dozen long stemmed roses in a vase and him coming up behind to tell me all the things he loves about me and us together. Honestly, I have never been so happy in my life. He's the man of my dreams! Then, he goes and tops it all off when I asked "How did you pull this off"??? "I have ONE more surprise for you." he said as he flipped on the lights to the rest of the house...and my three dearest friends (whom I never get to see) jumped out!!! The were there to witness the entire amazing event!!! I swear, it couldn't have been any better if I had planned it myself!!! The best thing...every moment was captured on video. I can show this to our kids...what a memento! Not to mention, he gave me a pretty spectacular sparkly for my finger! |
