I decided I would post the pictures of what my cake SHOULD have looked like, and what it actually DID look like... YOU TELL ME!! hahahaha
yeahhhhhhh... very disappointing... my cake looked like a squished, lopsided, LAZY version of the picture and you could actually see cake through the frosting (must be they forgot we paid for fondant???) ps- my grandma paid for the cake and has called/written letters and we have gotten no response... what jerks!!!! i literally fell in love with this cake and planned my entire wedding around it. thank you for that Marilyn's Bake Shoppe!!!!!!!! |

Our Wedding Day <3
September 19, 2009 was by far the best day of my life! I am so thankful for everyone who came and shared our wedding day with us! It was seriously the most perfect day ever, there was not a single cloud in the sky. I could not be happier that I finally married the man of my dreams- he is a blessing to me!!
It is amazing to look back at my older posts that were just ideas, and then to see them all come together.. Everything turned out so beautifully and perfect! A dream come true.... Except- MY CAKE! you may notice there are no pictures of my cake - well that's because it looked TERRIBLE! such a huge disappointment - but I did not let that ruin my day.. |

finally making some decisions!
Ok, so I'm the bride that will NOT make a decision until I have looked at every single option available.. I just can't do it! It's really annoying sometimes but at the same time, I just want everything to be perfect! My mom keeps telling me not to worry and to stop wanting it to be "perfect" because it won't be!! I know it's not going to be perfect-perfect.... but I would like to do everything in my power to make it as perfect as possible! I just pay close attention to detail, is that really so bad? I understand things will go wrong, something could happen and I'm totally prepared for that... you can't control what's going to happen, you never know!! But, like I said, what I can control I would like to be perfectly perfect! ;-) (said that word a lot, huh? hehe)
haven't bought the shoes yet, but they're definitely the ones... will be making a visit to my dress soon for alterations and to find a veil!! so hopefully then I will be ordering my shoes as well! can't wait! annndd! I also bought stamps today.. dang! never realized how expensive they were! not to mention I had to buy 400 of them! and I will still be needing another 150 for the outside of the envelopes because I want pretty ones! but we have to wait for the price of stamps to go up in may before we do.. (ughh!) I figured I would buy forever stamps now that way I can use them for the shower, thank you cards and response card envelops.. no biggie. ok anyway, done typing... more updates later! ; ) |

i think the design of your cake is almost as important as your dress! it took me a very long time to find the PERFECT cake, and when i saw this one i absolutely knew this HAD to be my cake!!!! it's so perfect and pretty and ahhhhhhmazing!!!
