First of all, just wanted to wish everyone a belated happy holidays. :) I hope everyone had a great time. Congrats to vintagebabe; from your pictures, the wedding looked beautiful (sorry if I missed anyone else while I was gone).

I visited a few WBC a few times, but could just never get into it. I felt a bit worn down from all this planning, feeling like I have never gotten anything accomplished.

Part of it is because I'm doing this largely on my own. I love my bridesmaids, but they are all incredibly busy and really can't do anything. One, whom I love to death and don't blame her for in the least (but nevertheless), who promised to visit in November 08, is now saying for sure she will be here in July and the wedding is in August.

I decided against the centrepieces I originally had in mind. I just wasn't feeling it. My whole mind is flip flopping on pretty much every aspect, and it's 7 months away.

Just feeling a bit frustrated and weighed down. Sorry to whine.

I hear you. I sometimes get so tired of planning, I'm totally NOT into it either!!! I'm also really busy with work right now and my bridesmaids and family are all 8 hours away! I know I will really enjoy the wedding day itself, but it seems so crazy to put this much effort into it all. I keep telling myself that this frustration will all be worth it when it gets here, but it's a constant battle to keep up with the lists of things to do!! Keep your eye on the prize girlie!! (For me, the prize is the honeymoon and gaining a husband :) ).

Good to hear your back, but as for your frustrations, that sucks. I know what you mean though. Only one of my girls has been helpful. My MOH hasn't helped at all....and she is pregnant. not that i am upset that she is pregnant she just promised to help me, like i helped her for her wedding. Again sorry to hear you hit a roadblock.

Thanks for your support, ladies. I keep trying to tell myself it'll all be worth it, but there are just some days were my fiance and I are tempted to elope, lol.

i'm a little less than two months away and i think it's all starting to sink in for me...

and the funny thing is i really don't have that much time because my family will start flying in from the states the week before the wedding so i'll essentially need to have everything ready by the time they get here...

yikes! crunch time...

I think a lot of brides do either the MOH first and then the rest, or everyone at once? But you can just do whatever you feel comfortable with. :) ...
