♥Wedding Monograms
I am losing it over monograms of all things!
♥♥♥
1st of all I fell in love with a monogram, then I kept reading and you pay $50 just to get the monogram and they send it to you. (I would LOVE the 1st picture with our names and without Las Vegas, because we are getting hitched in the good ol' chicago burbs). You still have to go find a place to print the damn thing on a sticker (or whatever you want). Then I found a place that did stamps, $40 for a stamp and thats that... I will just stamp something. Ugh. Then I remembered that the bags I am ordering for guests to put all their goodies in are BLACK and I can't use a stamp on them. So I need a monogram and a sticker. I am beyond trying to make my own monogram but I was wondering if there were any cool sites that are out there that make your monogram and print it up on stuff???

It would be fabulous if you could share your monograming sites, and/or how tos... before I lose it... and my fiance will be sitting here saying (like he has for the past 3 hours) "I don't get it... why do you even need this?"

I found the 1st monogram at marrymonograms.com ($49 for the monogram)
The 2nd two are stamps and can be found at weddingstore.wedding-idea-and-details.com ($39 for the stamp)

UPDATE: a site, customizedstickers.com will do 250 stickers for $160, I really don't know yet if this is good price, but the site seems very easy to use and will do your sticker artwork for *free* (so it says, I have no idea what they will really do for free...we'll see :)

UPDATE 2: I found another site myownlabels.com that do it for a GOOD price and the 4th picture I have is the one I would go with if I went this route (I was born in Hawaii and although my wedding will not have a Hawaiian I will be having a few things here and there with a small island influence as well as some writing in Hawaiian)

LOL...aint that the truth!  I'm loving your choices, especially the Vegas style!  It's delicious:)...being that I'm one always checking for a deal, this is one where I'm also left hanging.  I have found several sites, but nothing spectacular for price.  I've tried doing my own, but it just ends up looking brokedown & bootleg.  U & I will probably both end up buying from the same site:)

Do you want me to try making a few similar monogram styles for you? I can email the files when I'm done, you can do what you want with them. (ideas for bags: print on cover stock {a little thinner and more flexible than card stock} and use double sided tape to stick onto bags {scrapping style} or tie to handles with ribbons?)

if you don't go w. samantha's design (which you should because she's pretty awesome) then you can always go to the knot.com boards and find someone who isn't uptight and bitchy to make you one (but that's almost like finding a needle in a haystack).  some of them do it for free....there's this one girl whose really great on the san antonio board and she designs for free.  her account name is monica08 and if you page her on there she'd definitely get back to you.  tell her emaria sent ya :)

thanks! I was just thinking about how I do love the vegas style, I have always wanted to throw in a hawaiian phrase (i was born in hawaii and it means alot to me) so I am going to have to go back to the drawing board. :) I am going to have to check out the knot, I have not really spend too much time (of any) on any wedding sites lihe that!

Hi!  Thanks for the comment on my page.  I actually never posted my preference of monograms because I have not 100% decided on #1 the actual design, & #2 the vendor to order from.  My fi & I have played around with designs, & we may have more than one (no more than 2).  One will be the bigger designs ,which we know we'll purchase thru www.wonderfulweddinggraffiti.com.  These labels/stickers will consist of the floor designs, the door stickers, and possibly one wall (a small portion with a scripture or some type of quote).

As for other labels/stickers/cards etc. I have been looking at www.myownlabels.com, www.blissweddingsmarket.com, & www.beau-coup.com.  Some of the prices aren't too bad.  My last resprt will be to go to Postnet (local), where I can have a graphic artist basically look at what I want, duplicate & customize it & charge me only for the cost of supplies.  I hope this helps!  xoxoxo

Hey Fabulous, I noticed that you said you can't stamp on your black bags. I am using a stamp custom stamp too, i got mine from www.simonstamps.com for only $14 including shipping to Canada. I think it's smaller than yours would be though.. just intials.  I am using black bags also! I am still stamping them..Michaels sells opaque white stamp pads and opaque white embossing powder. They show up awesome on black paper. They also sell other opaque colors, like pink!! Just a thought.
I also made my own stickers.. avery sells alot of neat shapes and sizes, so does www.onlinelabels.com. I ordered their waterbottle labels.

Good luck.. I love your blog!

We got our logo from truelovelogos.com. And on your dark bags, you can still use a stamp ... metallic stamp ink! Silver would likely show up the best.
