A Toast To The Future!

I decided to engrave some sparkling cider bottles to have a toast at our engagement party. Not a toast to us, but from us - to our families. My fiance can't drink alcohol (because of some medication he's currently on) I am over all pretty happy with how they turned out. We engraved "thank you for celebrating with us, Fady & Sara, Engaged, 7.5.08" on the front and different symbols on the back. I especially like the chinese symbol for love. I'm thinking about doing something similar at the reception with real champagne. I also bought some small plastic wine glasses, I'm going to put white curling ribbon on the necks of the bottles and stems of the wine glasses. We are having an outdoor fiesta at a restaurant for the party. So, I thought the plastic glasses would be okay - we will be just throwing them away after the toast anyway.

I manage a store called Things Remembered. There are 600 stores nationwide. In Canada I believe they have a store called Things Engraved (very similar). You could try looking online or in the phone book for an engraver - also try a trophy shop or jewelry store. I hope that helps! : )

These are really cute!

I used wine bottles as DIY invitations and put lables on the wine bottles on our tables with the table name/pic on them at the reception.
