Wedding Cake
I am thinking about having a cake to match my dress. i went to a bridal show back in February and this one cake caught my eye. It had edible glitter and a broach on the front. My dress has a borach under the bust line and is has sheer with shimming embellishments on it. I thought it would be great to have edible ribbon placed around each tier and in the middle tier place the broach with the edible ribbon laced the same way as my dress. Around each tier will be sugar flowers...
Also, my fiance (for some reason) want a fountain somewhere in the cake. I dont discourage my fiance's requests but he says guys dont plan weddings and he says he wants me to plan everything. So when he does request to have something a special way, it makes me happy because it means he really is planning and just doesnt want to seem soft. lol |

History in the Making!!
Hi!! My name is Faith. I decided that it would be nice to introduce myself and just give a little more insight into my wonderful world and how Ive come to this point in my life.
Well to begin with let me just say that I do believe in fate...with that being said, I believe that fate is what led my fiance and I together. While we have only been "together" for 3 years, we've never been too far from each other...no literally..I'll explain. I grew up on the north side of town until I was 13yrs old. My mom, grandparents and I stayed in this nice fenced off house with this HUGE yard. I spent my days playing in the front yard with my dogs (i was an only child). Across the street there was a small white house with this nice little family with two little boys that would play outside sometimes. I really stayed to myself so I dont remember them too much... Onto my teenage years...when I was 14 (after we moved to the other side of town) I attended a private school where I befriended another young girl. We would often go to each other;s houses(she stayed in an apartment complex). One day while outside her apartment, there were some young boys( who also lived at the apartment complex) playing football outside. MY friend informed me that she had a crush on one of the boys. She asked if I could go confront the young man and ask for his phone number. I did what she asked and the guy gave me his number (although I didnt mention who really wanted the number). Well moving on to my college years...while I was attending college (age 21) I had a job but decided to get a second job (crazy I know). It didnt take but 3 days for me to HATE my second job so bad that I thought about quitting (and Im not a quitter). On my lunch break (the 4th day), this guy came up to me and said " Hey, you work swing shift right? Well then you come sit at my table with the rest of the swing shift people." I smiled and made my way over to his table. After a few conversations with this guy (who I now know as Jared at this point), I realize that we both take a class together...and we were also in the same study group (how does that happen?) We began to ride to school and work together. Honestly the only time we werent together was when I was at my 1st job. One night while in deep conversation Jared and I discovered something interesting...he asked me where did I stay when I was younger. I told him and he said that he stayed in the little white house across from mine (even though we didnt know each other). Then he asked if i knew "Mary" (the friend from high school). I said "of course". He said " Did you come ask me for my number while I was playing football one day?" I just laughed...he says "Ive been waiting on you to call ever since!!" lol Ever since that day we have been inseparable. We now have a 5 month old daughter who is our world. Now we just wish to make things complete!! :-) |

Signature Drink suggestions/opinions...
Im not going to have an open bar (way too expensive), plus my family doesnt drink. What I WILL have is beer, champagne, soft drinks,...I would like to incorporate at least 2 or 3 signature drinks. I would like them to be color coordinate with my colors...royal (dark) blue and aqua (light) blue. For the black (from the tuxes/suits), I would have coke mixed with crown (one of fiance's favorite drinks. I saw this pic online of what seemed to be blue champagne (shown in the pic) , but I have no idea what drink (mixed or not) it could be. Would anyone have any suggestions about what drinks would be good for this?

This is the color theme I am aiming for...I would also love to incorporate champagne if I could do it tastefully. Sadly I cant seem to find any pics of this done before. Maybe Ill be the first (I doubt it). In the end Im just hoping that it comes out to be beautiful.

Bridesmaid Dresses
These are the bridesmaids dresses (the one on the right). I ordered them in royal blue. They will be complemented with silver strappy 3-inch heels with rhinestones from the toe up to the heel. I just love the dresses. They should be in in a few weeks. Thats one less detail to worry about. :-)

Just a little insight...
Jared and I have been together for 3 years. We were actually engaged about a year and a half ago (August 2009). Jared and I spent alot of time talking about our wedding and had originally planned to get married a year from the date that we both graduated college (We graduated in Dec 2009). Well...the plan soon changed when we welcomed our daughter in December 2010. There was no way I was going to be a prego bride-no offense to anyone who was. Its just that I was close to 200lbs in my last month!!. Now that our daughter is 5 months-and growing fast, we are just now getting back into the planning stages but havent reset a date exactly. I already have bridesmaids dresses (royal blue), bridesmaid shoes(silver), and my dress. We already have the venue booked with no date. I will post piccs soon. So now Im just planning the rest...
I always welcome suggestions or stories from anyone who has been through this before (please no rudeness). :-) |

Well I am trying to make my wedding as original as can be. I really would like to use the colors royal and aqua(tiffany) blue, black, and white...BUT somehow my fiance sees himself wearing a champagne suit(Im trying to convince him to just wear white but whatever)lol. I am just in the planning stages seeing as how the wedding date isnt exactly set in stone yet( it may be sooner). I encourage any suggestions.... :-)
