Wedding nightmares? share yours
Ever since I started planning this wedding I have had many. Some have been worse than others got me waking up feeling like it's real and other ones that got me thinking oh my what if that actually happens. For the most part the one I keep having is we are running late and dh and I are way too laid back and relax like its all good and saying stuff like " we're married already so no rush they can wait" lol! and in other ones I forget things like bringing the center pieces or favors but the last one had me freaking out. My hair stylist doesn't show up and my hair is not done and we are running late looking like a hot mess and all I'm saying is" all that planning and hard work gone to waste" but dh did comfort me in the end telling me I looked beautiful regardless which made me wake up loving him even more cause I know he would tell me the same in real life. So now ladies tell me what's been your worse one so far or even strangest, funniest?

We booked it!

I didn't have a chance to post it but we finally booked the venue on Thursday its official this whole wedding that Ive been planning for years is coming together couldn't be happier, I'm so glad I can cross it off my list and getting so excited.We have been to so many venues and have gone through 5 so I'm so happy to have found one that had everything we need and want. I'm having the ceremony outdoors at there Cullen Garden and they even have a back up all set up in case of rain the reception will be across from the Garden where our guests will have cocktails and hors d oeuvres and the actual sit down platted 3 course dinner will be in their Art Gallery which is so unique as we didn't want the typical classic banquet hall look. It has more of a lounge/club feel to it the DJ will be on the second floor as for decor a lot of up lighting just light everywhere. I just love how different it is. We also had to change our date which I was not to keen on doing but its just a day later and we are getting a cheaper wedding cause its on a Sunday so no complains there 7 hour open bar which has made a lot of people happy their menu is exceptional and it includes cake cutting unlimited red and white wine and even Chiavari chairs ahhh.. the works and best part of it all its 15 minutes away from our home its a little oasis within the city which I would of never have believed it existed had I not stumble across their site and saw it with my own eyes.I'm so happy right now Thank you God :)

Hello beautiful brides,
Let me start by saying I have miss this site so...much, a lot has gone on in my life in the last year or so between the family drama and other crap that life has thrown my way and not to mention didn't have a computer just my i pad which sucks cause i couldn't use it to upload pics, hubby finally got it fixed and now finally I'm back and glad to get back to wedding planning.I'm sure a lot of the brides I knew are no longer here if you are and remember me give me a shout out lol! so for the new brides who have joined us welcome and congrats, this is an amazing site with so many helpful ladies I've made many friends here in the last 3 almost 4 years this October, yes! you read that correctly I have been here that long lol! a little back story for all the new brides I got married to my high school sweet heart almost 13 years ago I was 17 he was 20 we had dated for a year and half and were expecting our first son so we decided not to wait and got married. We had a very intimate wedding ceremony at city hall(court house) with just a few close family members and friends at the time we couldn't afford a big wedding and at the time it didn't even matter cause all we needed was the love we had for each other. Since then we have had two more sons our boys are now 12, 8 and 5, a few years ago almost 4 lol! we started talking about having the big wedding we never had and my best friend aka(MOH) got me all excited about planning now anyone who knows me well knows I'm a freak when it comes to planning so I wasn't about to rush into it and go in to debit so with some saving, wise planning and a firm budget we have managed to plan this dream wedding that is all coming together now. I figured there was no real rush since we are already married so now we get to enjoy this day with everyone we love and having our sons there to witness it all makes it even more special so next year after 15 years of being together 14 of being married we will have the religious ceremony which has been so important to me all these years,we are making it official,official here on earth and in Gods eyes.Cant wait to marry the man of my dreams,father of my children and best friend all over again <3 Well enough with all the mushy stuff I'm happy to be back and meet all the new brides cant wait to read all the other blogs. Not sure how many Canadian brides are left on here if you are give me a shout out as well lol! Representing all my T.O brides here :D Happy Planning!! |

I started to think about what I want my make up to look like on my wedding day .I have never really been a girly girl so growing up even in my late teen years it never intrested me,plus Dh has always love my natural look but when i turned 27 I developed an intrest for it funny its like im 13 trying new things going into walmart for make up I feel like a kid at a candy shop lol! so anyways I picked up some great stuff on the weekend to cover up my dark circles that I have had all my life but are totally bothering me now not sure if its cause Im getting older dh says I look beautiful and they are fine but I really wanted to find something that would hide them a lil atleast so playing around heres what I came up with, what do u ladies think?
oh and my hair will be up not excatly like in the second pic but I will have an updo just waiting for my hair to get long again lol! |

Which flowers do you like?
I got flowers A. last year and love how they look the colour and all then i came across these other ones and picked them up too and I like em not so much the colur but the shape of the bloom, so now my question is which ones should I use for my bouquet I will also be using Wiltons fresh look holder.Which ones do you like A or B?,and do you think I can incorporate both into my bouquet?
p.s oh and flowers B look all nice and round cause i stuck them in a styrofoam ball trying them out as a pomander so plz imagine flowers A. in that round shape lol! Thanks Ladies! |

I found great gifts for my ladies last summer aswell, I got them these cute heart shape jewellery boxes that went down from $35 to $9,98 at KeyMan engravables I got them these sparkely makeup bags in my wedding color that I found at Forever 21 for $7 I will be giving them these with their Braidsmaids survival kits Im making them. I also found these nice sparkely bracelets for them to wear that day those were $2 at Dollarama and I picked up their jewllery at Ardene Got my 2 BM's necklace & earing sets 2 for 15 and ended up getting mine which I will post about later and my MOH's buy one get the 2nd half off I placed them in gift boxes cant wait to give them their gifts in these personalized tote bags Im making right now, I shall post pics of those later on too. I have some great friends who have been helping me through out my planning and really do appreciate them, so happy I found them such nice gifts. :)

Again found these great gifts last summer I have realized all these places have a summer sale event and for brides who are in Ontario and are getting married this fall/winter or better yet next year you need to keep your eye open for these events cause the money you save is truly amazing. I found these beautiful sets for the guys they came with a beautiful pocket watch, cufflinks and a money clip all in a beautiful wooden box that comes with a metal plate you can get engraved.These set went down from $98 to.... wait for it.......$14.99 I wasnt even looking to get all the groomsmen a gift that day I was just looking around for the best mans gift as his was suppose to be a bit different and the GM's were suppose to get nice pocket watches but with that kind of steal we picked them up for all of them lol! For my Ontario brides I got these at Things Engraved they also have a summer sale and all the new sets from last year will go on sale again this year to make room for the new ones not many know but now ya"ll know lol! I also picked up these nice flaks for the guys that we will also get engraved these I got at Party Packagers while getting some wedding supplies on sale for $2.50 each again summer sale if you have one these stores close to you wait till thats summer sale. Dh was very impressed with how lil I spent on such nice gifts, feels so good to save whereever you can :)
