5 MONTHS!!!!
OMG - I'm starting to freak out. Good freak out, not bad haha. I just can't believe that it's only 5 months until my wedding. Yesterday was a year since the FH proposed. And now it's crunch time haha. Well, it's not that bad yet. I still have five months. Luckily I have the big things done - reception location, dress shoes.. etc. I still have to do all the little things though. I'm going to be asking for a lot of help, I can feel it now. So be prepared ladies!!!!!!

I'm home sick from work today so I thought I might as well get some wedding things done. Came across this and thought it would be fun. I hope you enjoy the read!! -Felcia -How long did you date before you got engaged? 7 months -Did you get the ring you wanted? I wanted a Princess cut, single diamond - Yes, I got this. -Was the proposal a complete surprise? We discussed marriage before, but he never let on that he had a ring purchased. -Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? No, the ring is perfect. The diamond is bigger than what I had ever hoped for. -Did you cry when he proposed? Oh yes, I cry when I'm happy/sad/angry... so I was bawling my eyes out. -Was the proposal romantic or creative? Romantic. -Where do you want to go for your honeymoon? We are going to New York. -Are you buying his wedding band for him? No, he purchased the wedding bands... he's making the big bucks, not me. -Have you gone over your original wedding budget? Oh yes, we busted the budget when we booked the Reception location. -What day of the year will your wedding be? Saturday, August 27, 2011. -What kind of weather? Warm and Sunny - I HOPE! -Inside or outside? Inside. -Church/justice of the peace/other? Church. -How many people will be there? 200-250. -Time of day? Ceremony is at 2:00pm, Reception is at 6:00pm. -Any kind of theme? It's going to be a party!!!! Colours are White, Black & Hot Pink. -How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? 5 girls are standing for me: MOH is my sis, BMs are: Friend Julia, Friend Meghan, Sister-in-law Suzanne, Friend Christine. -What kind of cake/what will it look like? This one is still up in the air. 4 tiers definitely. I'm thinking Square. Simple but elegant! :) -Where will you have the reception? It's at a hotel that overlooks the Harbour in St. John's, NL. -What kind of dress will you have/color/material? I already have my dress. It's white. The top is lace with sequins. The bottom is taffeta with lace along the bottom. -What kind of flowers in your bouquet? Hot pink Gerbera Daisies. -Kind of engagement ring? Pics in my earlier posts. -Kind of wedding bands? Pics in my earlier posts. I have diamonds, FH has a matte ring with no diamonds. -How will you wear your hair? Loose curls, all down. I'm wearing a tiara and a veil also. -Who will be important to be there? Family and friends. -Will the reception be big or small? Big. -What will the groom wear? Tuxedo -How long on Honeymoon? A week. -What will you do? Sightsee, shop, football game, a concert... SHOP! haha -Will it be modest or costly? Costly. -How old will you and the groom be? FH will be 31, I will be 26. -How long will you be engaged before you get married? 1 year, 5 months. -Live together before or wait till married? We live together. -Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? We had a long engagement. This is because we got engaged early into our relationship (7 months). I wanted to wait until 2 years for us to get married. We will be together 2 years, 11 days on our wedding day haha. -Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? I planned the wedding by myself. -Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? We will be repeating the vows that the Corps Officer asks us to repeat. My FH is not much for attention so the quicker, the better for him. |

NWR Happy Valentine's Day!!
I really wanted to post this...
My amazing fiance treated me like a princess this weekend. He cooked me steak and potatoes (my request), had wine and chocolate, and watched a sappy movie (The Notebook). He also gave me Diamond Hoop Earrings. Then, he sent flowers to me at work today. Here's a picture I took today of my earrings in one of the roses!! I love Adam so much!! XOXOXOXO |

I got my wedding band!!!!
HEY!!! I am so excited right now!! :)
My ring did not come with a matching wedding band, so I had to get one made here in town (St. John's, NL). I am so happy with the finished product, it looks amazing!!!! It looks like they belong in a set and I want to start wearing it now!!! I have to wait 7 months, 5 days!! :( The last picture is my FH's ring. He wanted something simple but it's perfect for him. |

Trying to Lose Weight??
I'm currently doing the Jillian Michaels 30-day Shred. The DVD is under $20 (or you can download it and burn it for free!). I do that 3 or 4 times a week and it kicks my A$$. I've been doing it for two weeks now and still on the 1st circuit (out of three). I'm not moving on to the second one until I find the first one too easy.
With regards to eating, I've cut out the junk (and I've lost weight just from that!). I used to drink 3 xL coffees, at least 1 diet pepsi and something chocolate with chips every day. I'm down to 1 coffee a day, no diet pepsi's and no junk. I have one junk day (usually Sunday for me) in which I get McDonald's or something like that. It's healthy to have a junk day!! Pills - I wouldn't take any of the 'Lose Weight Pills' because they really aren't great for you. I do take a Fitness Vita-Pak though. It includes a vitamin, energy enhancer, fat burner and a pill to help with bone health. It's for women only! It's basically just giving you awesome vitamins and helps make your workouts assist in weight loss. After my workouts, I have a protein shake. It's good to have protein after your workouts. Not a lot of people enjoy protein and milk, it doesn't always taste the best (depending on the flavour you buy). So, I have a vanilla flavoured protein. I have a Magic Bullet and I add: 1 scoop of protein, 4 ice cubes, 4 frozen strawberries (you can buy them in a bag), half a banana, a tea spoon of honey and fill with milk. It tastes amazing and it's like a prize at the end of a hard workout!! I hope this helps!! I'm a super busy person that used to find it hard to fit in any healthy meals, workouts, etc. As long as you plan ahead (make sure you have healthy food available to you, etc.) then you should find it easy. The workout takes less than half an hour so I do it the same time every night. The protein shake takes less than 5 minutes to make and I have the bubble bath running while I'm making it. Then I drink it while relaxing. Stick to a routine and you've got this girlies. Good Luck!! :) |

I'm getting married this year!!!!!!
I cannot believe it. When my FH proposed, we were at 1 year, 5 months away... now it's less than 8 years away. It's pretty crazy on how fast time goes by.
To all the future brides out there, enjoy each task that you complete in order to make your wedding a success. Treasure each moment because before you know it, you'll have almost everything done and wish you had taken more time to enjoy it. Like me!!! I was so eager to get things done that I barely remember making the decisions. I've purposely delayed some things so that I would have work to do... so more posts coming soon!! :) Happy New Year!!! |

I've finally received my wedding shoes!!! :)
Shoes: Savanna by Colorful Creations. If anyone is having trouble finding their perfect wedding shoe, check out dyeable shoes. I wanted a hot pink mid-heel pump with some bling. Impossible to find unless they were 4-5" high. Found these dyeable shoes and google'd who dyed them (because I didn't trust myself to do this!!). I came across a company who had the shoe I fell in love with, a wide variety of colour dyes & dyed them. Big shout out to 'Dyeable Shoes Etc' (http://www.dyeableshoesetc.com/). Amazing Job!!!!!! :) Check them out and you won't be disappointed if you order a pair. Sneakers: Puma. I was looking for a pair of cool, comfy sneakers for the dance/party!!! Found these online and I had to have them. As soon as I put them on, I wanted to wear them out. I'm going to have to get the FH to hide the box!! So excited that I've got the best shoes!! WooHoo!!!!!! :) |
