I am officially Mrs. Bushell now and just got back to Edmonton from our cross Canada drive.

I could not have asked for a more perfect day! It was raining all morning (was not impressed) and our ceremony was outside. I had to make the call at 11 if I still wanted it outside and something told me that I should. Someone was paying attention and the rain stopped and did not come back! The clouds parted as we were announced husband and wife and the sun came out, it was the PERFECT moment!

The reception was everything that I wanted it to be even though we didn't end up doing the bouquet toss and garter because everyone was having too much fun dancing. There was some timing glitches but in the end it didn't even matter to me!

Here are a couple pictures that we have. I am just waiting for people to add them to photobucket so I can have more!

I have never been SO busy in my life! I am back in Ontario getting all the final touches ready but wanted to stop in and say THANK YOU to all the brides who have answered my questions or given me inspiration through this process.


kkrbride - I got the glitter and I love it! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
sarahdarling - the damask squares look amazing!

We did our engagement photos this week too and it was SO much fun! I can't wait to see them. My one BM arrived yesterday from Edmonton so I put her to work (6 hours on centerpieces = brutal!)

I am packing everything up today and taking it to Brantford to set up the hall this afternoon. The rehersal is at 6 then we are having the rehersal dinner along with a mini pool party at our hotel, can't wait to relax a little. Although the weather likes to play games I am praying for a beautiful sunny day! (tornados and earthquakes aren't helping!)

I will post about the wedding when I get back to Edmonton - we are driving back with our two doggies!

PS - lost 25 pounds! Don't know I really did it but when I figure it out I will share! lol

DIY Wedding
Sick in bed = DIY time
I ended up going home from work just before lunch yesterday with my death cold and sleeping for a bit. When I woke up I decided to sit in bed with my doggies and work on wedding projects.

I got started on all my table numbers and a thank you sign for the entrance at the reception (P.S. Thank you kkrbride! I may have copied word for word but I LOVED it:D).

I took pictures with my cell so they are SUPER crappy quality but when I get everything all assembled I will take better pictures.

All I have left to do is minor details and the dreaded seating chart but that's about it so it's not that bad!

I can't believe how fast it's going by! I can still remember Jan 2008 when we first set the date and it was 2 1/2 years away!!

I was browsing online today to get a template for a seating chart. With the day fast approaching and almost all people RSVP'd (9 more to go!) I wanted to start figuring out where people were going to be sitting.

I found this template for Powerpoint and LOVE it! I can't remember what website I got it from (bad me!), but I can send it to anyone who is interested!

My MOH and Best Friend flew in from Ontario for my Bachelorette on Saturday and of course as my luck would have it - it snowed! lol

I had so much fun! I got my makeup done at MAC. We went to two different bars in Edmonton. At the first one we ran into 3 other brides! Of course we got some pictures with them and even ran into one of them at the other bar! lol

Surprisingly enough I was the first one up the next morning and ready to go for a day trip to the mountains with the FH and MOH. I totally did not follow my diet that day and have been paying for it ever since! :( My stomach and body are totally not used to "bad" food anymore! I completely over-indulged but it was the first time my MOH came out to visit! <3

I do believe that when I go home on the 18th there are plans for a second get together for friends and family that wanted to make it out and couldn't.
