I haven't had to keep up with my cycle in YEARS ! ...but My Love actually brought this up last night !? I don't keep up with it because we're celibate !
I Googled "how to calculate your menstruation" and this is what I got:
You should count from the first day of bleeding. That is day 1. Ovulation occurs around day 14 and the next period usually comes along around day 28.
Well, according to my calculations based on the above formula, I will be due again for my cycle the Monday after my wedding ! This is too damn close ! UGH ! However it does explain my Devil Level moment last week over the shoes, which I still stand firm on and sent her some pics of shoes and she "fell in love" all over again with 2 pair...lol
I will be totally pissed if I start early ...I better start praying..
The only problem with calculating when you'll be on your period is that sometimes stress can affect your menstrual cycle and a lot of women don't have regular cycles in general.
We don't want anymore kids..ours range in age from 22-13..we have 5 total, but none together.
My concern is consummating our marriage. We are not sexually active and look forward to our special night.
Since we did a cruise and would be in the Caribbean for a week the last thing I wanted to drag along was a bunch of tampons! I ended up skipping 2 months prior to, of the sugar pills on my BC and went straight to the next pack so I would have it before vacation. Mission accomplished and everything was fine when I took the week off afterwards...nothing was any different.
You need to arm yourself with the facts before you make that decision!
Also, it DOES NOT stop periods for everyone. It actually made my period last for 4 weeks straight -- I called my Dr to complain and she said that is "NOT uncommon"-- which means it happens alot!
I am getting on the pill this week. =)
But I read that you can take your birth control a certain way that will allow you to skip it or shift the date but to only do it the one time or if you really need to. I don't currently take birth control but I will be and I'm hoping this works because I would die if I started on our wedding day! Or even within the week after, bleh!
It can be really light or a little heavier like a normal period.
For one thing, I am VERY sensitive to my cycle so I can tell pretty much each day or so where I am in the cycle. This is good, but also means that I was really detailed thinking I didn't want to be moody during the wedding or that time and I didn't want to be ON my . which would give me pretty much a 2 week window for safety. I WAS going to go on the pill but after research and talking to my FH we decided not to go that route so a few months to go I realize it really DOES Matter! We're celibate, too and I wanted to make sure NOTHING would interfere with our wedding night plans, lol.
Luckily it looks like the wedding should land RIGHT after mine. This is inconvenient for other reasons but I'm definitely hoping things stick to the plan, haha.
