Wedding Dress
Another dress?!?
Because we are having an outdoor wedding we can't get married by a catholic priest however we want our children to be baptized and grow up in a catholic school system which means we have to get married in the church to be recognized. I thought it would be nice if we did this on our first anniversary but my FH had another idea! My whole family lives in Newfoundland and we are going there a month after our wedding to have an informal reception and Shane suggested we have our church ceremony at that time! Great idea I say!!! He then proceeds to tell me how great it will be that I get to wear my dress again...I said Pardon?!? LOL...I don't think so my love...this calls for another dress! So I'm on the hunt again!
This is one of the dresses I've been eying since I purchased my first dress...perhaps this can be number 2?? |

Monogram
Shayne (aka unpredictablebride) was kind enough to make my previous monogram but we had since changed the color and date so back to the drawing board for me!
Tonight I decided to try my hand at my own design and this is what I've come up with so far! This was done in Microsoft Word but my FH is going to get photoshop for me...seems to be the way to go! Oh and sometimes I wish we had different initials...too many S's LOL! p.s. I know it's not perfect yet in regards to the spacing but I'll get there! ***UPDATE*** Monogram #2 is another one I've been working on...the double "S" with a heart is actually my new way of signing my initials (I also drew a heart in my old initials as well!) Which one do you ladies like best? I like the heart one for circular stickers (perhaps to close my envelopes or on top of my favors...etc.) The main color is eggplant but I want to print them on a pearl sticker to give it some color...right now it's a little too blah! |

Wedding Shopping in Florida
Hey all you Florida gals...I need some help!
In September I'm heading to Florida with my mom, 2 of my closest friends, and their mothers to go dress shopping for my best friend (she is getting married one month after me!) We are flying into to Orlando and will be heading to both Tampa and Sebastian (where we will be staying) I was wondering if any of you girls have any pointers on where to go to look for dresses and other wedding related items (i.e. decor, bridesmaid dresses, etc.) Thanks so much for your help!!! |

Bridesmaid Gifts
I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family so when it came to selecting my bridesmaids I knew right away who they would be!
Unfortunately of the 7 bridesmaids I only have 1 living somewhat close to me so I waned to make sure I got them something extra nice! Here's what I'm thinking so far: 1) Coach Purse (they all love them but there's no Coach store where they are! Oh and no they aren't meant for the wedding day...just an everyday purse!) 2) Compact mirrors that I had made from etsy seller MadisonCraft - $5 a piece...order 3 and the 4th was free) (This is a picture of the picture that the seller sent to me prior to making them so the color is way off...unfortunately I ordered them when my colors were black, ivory and light pink...oh well!!! 3) Silk robes to get ready in - pink for the BM's; Flowers for me, my momma and my MOH - 2/$25 at La Vie en Rose (again...purchased before color change! 4) Make-up for the day of I have a few other things in mind but not sure yet! Ideas and thoughts are welcomed?!?! |

Wedding Reception
Just a few ideas
1) Cigar Bar - I contacted a place in Toronto that will come to the venue to roll cigars. It's $350 for the "Roller" and $15 a cigar (ouch!) but I really want to surprise my FH as he loves cigars. I think to cut down on cost I will only have them available during the cocktail hour as it takes place outside so perfect for any cigar smokers!
2) Edible Flowers in Champagne - I saw this on Rich Bride, Poor Bride and had to have it! 3) Head Table Setup - We have 18 people at the head table...too many to have in one straight line! I love this setup! The way the venue is setup, all the tables are on the right and left of us with the dance floor in the middle so I thought this would be nice so we aren't staring at an empty floor while we eat! More to come...I just like having my thoughts collected into one place! |

Bridesmaid dresses... I just can't decide...lol! I just found this dress on Dessy (I think it's from their new fall collection) I love the little flat bow at the top and the pockets!

Wedding Invitation
During an impromptu trip to Michaels I came across these invites! I had already purchased plain white invites from there that I was going to personalize but these are perfect as is! Also, it helped to make up my mind on my wedding colors! I've been debating for a while now between black, light pink and ivory or eggplant and ivory...so eggplant and ivory it is!

I just found this little gem of a seller on etsy and I love her work! Here are some pieces that I love, I just have to make sure they can be used as belts (they are all considered headbands but they have ribbon ends so I can't see why not...just as long as she leaves enough ribbon!)
