Wow! 2 1/2 weeks!
I can hardly believe that in just a little over two weeks I will be married! Seems like time has flown from the engagement until now, and yet sometimes I feel like it will never get here. What a strange feeling!
I don't have much left to do. I still need to decorate the card box, purchase the aisle runner, and a few other things here and there. June 20 is almost here! |

2 months to go!
60 days and I will be Mrs.!
Wow, it's been busy around here!
I had bridal portraits on Friday, and the day couldn't have been more perfect! It was overcast, which meant there was no squinting or shadows cast. The hair dresser & photographers were WONDERFUL to work with! Everything was just amazing! So, these days I'm just trying to wrap up the last few big projects. We are sending invitations at the beginning of next week after we get them back from the calligrapher. We've also got the dates down for my showers. I'm having SIX of them! Good grief! Two months from today and I will be married! I'm so excited! |

Wedding Quiz
My turn!
How long did you date before you got engaged?
Well, we courted for a year (did things in groups and with family), then we dated for 2 1/2 years. We became a couple on May 22nd, 2005 and got engaged on October 10th, 2008. Did you get the ring you wanted? Yes, my ring was custom made & FH designed it. He knew me well enough to get exactly what I wanted without me having to tell him! Was the proposal a complete surprise? Yes. I mean, I expected that he would propose within the next several months, but I had no idea that it was going to be when he did it. It was so amazing! Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? Nope, it's just the right size! Did you cry when he proposed? No, I was too shocked. When do you want to go for your honeymoon? The week after the wedding. Are you buying his wedding band for him? Yes. Have you gone over your original wedding budget? No. What day of the year will your wedding be? Saturday, June 20, 2009 What kind of weather? Warm, summery, perfect. Inside or outside? Inside Church/justice of the peace/other? Church How many people will be there? We've invited around 600 people. Time of day? 2:00pm Any kind of theme? Not really, just sort of an enchanted forest look. Elegant style. How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? 7. MOHs are sister & best friend, BMs are 5 other friends. What kind of cake/what will it look like? Round, 4 tiers, white with white design & cascading flowers. Where will you have the reception? Same place as the ceremony. What kind of dress will you have/color/material? White, fitted a-line style. Silk & lace. What kind of flowers in your bouquet? Dark pink roses, with little orange and purple flowers. Kind of engagement ring? .75 ct center round "brilliant" diamond, two .25 ct diamonds on either side, 6 tiny diamonds around the band; yellow gold. Kind of wedding bands? We haven't picked them yet. How will you wear your hair? Half up, half down Who will be important to be there? Our family and close friends Will the reception be big or small? Very big What will the groom wear? Black tux with a white tie and vest, lapis pocket square. How old will you and the groom be? I will be 20 and he will be 21. How long will you be engaged before you get married? 8 months & 1 week. Live together before or wait till married? Wait until married. Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? Taking a long time so that each detail will be just right. Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? My mom and I have basically done the whole thing. Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? We aren't sure yet. |

Honeymoon
Bikini bargains
I also have two honeymoon bikinis now! One was on clearance at spiegel.com (the purple one) and ended up being $30 (including S/H) and the other I found on the clearance rack at Target (the brown/blue/green one) the other day and it totaled up to $20. So, now I have my two cute bikinis to wear on the beach!

Honeymoon
Exciting honeymoon clothing finds!
If you know me, you know that I love shopping, but I hate spending money. Well, I've saved up some money for honeymoon outfits because I wanted to get some cute, sexy things for my dear FH who has never seen me in anything "showy" (I have a rather large chest, but it's always covered).
Today I was in the mall killing some time between two events & I went into Forever 21 & Banana Republic and found these adorable clothes! The dress was less than $16, the black halter was $6.50, and the Banana Republic blue halter was on clearance for $7.47 (unheard of price for BR) and the only one there... in my size!!! Also, I think Forever 21 was having some sort of sale. My total for all three of these items was less than $30! I was so excited! I also bought a bikini on clearance from Target the other day and spent $20 on it. Yay! I love great finds! I've learned that you don't have to spend a fortune to look like a million dollars. :) |

WBC
Does this annoy you, too?
I love WBC and I love the brides here, but does it ever bother you when you (or another bride) ask a question, and then someone responds with a comment that seems like they didn't even read the post?
Here's a hypothetical example: Let's say I post about trying to decide between whether I should use red or blue sand for the sand ceremony. I ask for the WBC brides opinions on which you all think would go better with my color scheme. Then, a bride comments "I think you should just have a unity candle." Did she not read the post? I'm not trying to decide if I want a unity candle or unity sand, I'm just trying to decide what color sand to use. Quite frankly, I don't care if she thinks I should have a unity candle since I've obviously already decided on using the sand ceremony. Why can't people stick to answering the question asked? I think this almost makes me laugh more than it annoys me. If one can't take time to read the post, she should not comment with her opinion, lol. Anyone else feel the same way? Maybe it's just me. |
