Our story
We began in March 2000 during my senior year of high school. At that time, I was a young age of 17 and he was 19. My family was so against us being together because they looked at him as no good and never being any good for me. Just like now, I was very strong headed and defied my familys wishes and continued to date him. The following month we found out that I was pregnant. We ended up miscarrying the following month, yet it continues, the next month found out I was still pregnant as the miscarriage was from a set of twins.
Although I had become the typical pregnant teen, I finished high school without going to any alternatives schools for being pregnant (the principle tried getting me out of the actual school setting because I was pregnant, but I thought of myself at the time as a role model for the fact that I did walk around school pregnant but continued to go and graduated). I walked with my class with a big prego belly in May 2000. Our oldest daughter was born in Feb. 2001. December of 2002 we got pregnant again with another set of twins (natural conception for both pregnancies) who were born 3 months early in 2003. In December 2003, tradgedy hit our home when one of our tiny daughters passed away. They say that the loss of a child can either make or break a relationship, I understand why. That was a really hard time in our lives, but our relationship survived. Just for the record, we are not that couple that are together just becaue of the children either; that is why we waited so long to get married. We wanted to know that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Both of us are against staying together because of children. Neither of us believe that it is healthy for the relationship or the children. We finally got married in March 2005. What let us know that our marriage would work was everything that we had already been through and that we continued to grow strong as a couple. We had a nice wedding although it was not what was expected. Wedding problems: had to change location last minute because of weather, many people ended up not being able to show up due to weather or showing to late from the location change, pretty much, anything that could go wrong, did. Now, I am 27 and he is 29 and we are looking at celebrating our 10th anniversary together and 5th being married in 2010 and decided that we want to renew our vows to eachother. Not only that, we decided that we want to redo our wedding to have it the way it should have been, but also ALL our friends and family will be able to be there this time. Also, we are having a reception this time around. We still have not had our first dance as husband and wife. We are definately looking forward to it. Just as before, I am sure that it will be hectic trying to plan this ceremony as it was before, although this time around I think it will be a little more since not only am I planning my own, I am also helping with another wedding (my best friends) while being a fulltime nursing student. I am sure that it will all come out the way it is supposed to though. Good luck to all brides and grooms planning your wedding and hope you have a wonderful and prosperous marriage as I have been so blessed with. |

Bridal bouquet
I believe this is who I got my original bouquet from. If it is, it is more stunning and full in person than the picture could ever make it. My original bouquet is very similar to this one, just darker purple, open roses instead of the buds.

Wedding Decoration
I like all of these. The balloon arch hands down would be for the entrance ways to the ceremony and reception. The other two would be for the ceremony, but am not sure which one I like more. Opinions?
