I stumbled across vistaprint.com or ca? can't remember which (might be both)...and I just started playing around with different designs and ideas. I originally went on there to see if I could get magnets made up as save-the-dates but I went with post card style instead. It was pretty cheap...$50.00 for 100 postcards including shipping + handling.
I had a lot of fun putting them together!! :) |

Ribbon Seating Chart
Sooo....Michaels is my new best friend! I saw a few other brides that did this and THANK YOU for posting it. I loved the idea and decided to make on this weekend. SUPER EASY..and they look sooo nice.
Basically all you do is buy a bunch of ribbon, all different colors, sizes, textures etc...and wrap them around a board (cork or foam) I used foam...it worked great! and then either pin or hot glue-gun the ribbon on it. Just pull it really tight and then glue it at the back. It takes some patience but it's worth it. Of course I won't be finishing it until closer to the wedding...so I will post more pictures later, but this is the start! |

Buffet or Sit Down?
Anybody have any opinions here??? Buffet or Sitdown???
It works out to be about the same money-wise...but what do you think people enjoy more? ****Updated***** March 6th 2009 We've decided on sit down! What were doing is asking people to RSVP and let us know if theyll be having chicken, beef or vegetarian for their entrée. Each place card will be a different color depending on what they want to eat. Example: Beef will be purple, chicken- white, and vegetarian green. This way the Guests dont have to order and the servers will know what theyre having : ) Its a little more work on my part but I think itll be nice in the end. I think theyll appreciate not having to get up lol, even though theres nothing wrong with Buffets! I like those too. Just thought Id share what were doing just incase you are doing the same and wondering how to tell them apart from the person next to them. You know what I mean!! Getting sooo excited. 3 months left! |

help!!
I chopped my hair off and THEN he proposed....just lovely! :s lol
SOOOOooo I am in the process of growing it out and it is awful. absoultely awful. My bangs do whatever they freeekin' want to now! I have to pin them most days... Anyways, I am trying to decide on a hairstyle earlier on so I can guide my hairdresser in helping me grow it out so my hair style works! Does that make sense? I am torn....half up??? Does everyone generally do that??? I am leaning towards the EVA hair do...what do you brides think out there??? could I pull it off? (Sept 13/o8) *************UPDATED************* Having the Eva hairdo....love it, love it, love it....3 months yaaay!!! |

Wedding Favors
MY WHOLE WEDDING HAS CHANGED!!!
ok...so if my Fiance would've listened to me at the BEGINNING of this whole planning business...this would've all been taken care of but nooooo. lol. so here I am. square one. We've changed the location THREE times now!!! We're finally finalized...and I am SO excited. I wanted to get married in my hometown so I could get ready at my Mom and Dad's...sleep in my bed one last time (un married) :) SO YAY! It's on the Sunshine Coast (BC)...so our "theme" now is west coast. We're changing everything....new wedding favors as you can see! :)
The new location is absolutely stunning. It's right on the ocean...we get a whole terrace with a pool sitting on the ocean. It's perfect! Our wedding night will be so much fun....I can't wait!!! anyways, on with the new ideas.... ;) |

Girls will have white, I have purple?
Sooo....My Bridesmaids have white hygrangeas with white roses....what would be best- should I have purple?
I think that would be best but I don't know what type of flower...it's really tough... I don't wanna seem too "uniform" with the color scheme.... any suggestions?? ******UPDATED******** Found the flowers I want for the girls and myself. They will have white hydrangeas and white roses (2 pics to the side) and I love the new main photo. I am going to see if my florist can re-create!!! They have white...I have purple and white. I think it'll look nice :) |
