Venue
John B. Boy Auditorium
Until I get pictures of the Venue here is an idea of what is going on.
Imagine walking into a row of trees. When you look down it all you see is green. We are going to be married under something similar to the Midsummers Arch. I would like to add something like the hanging crystals and votives with the roses to it. The chairs are going to be just like in the picture white and at the ends of the rows will be hanging balls. However the roses will be hot pink and light pink. After the ceremony is over we are going to move on to the cocktail hour. However, we are not going to serve cocktails but hor'derves. I am looking for tall cocktail tables but am not having too much luck. (any suggestions) I think I am going to hang the white lanterns with led battery operated lights off the trees so that when it starts getting dark there will be a little light. Does anyone have any suggestions whta I should serve for the hor'derves???? |

Black Dress
This is the dress that I picked out for the girls. Of course these are not my girls. I am adding a Watermelon colored bow around their waist so that it breaks up the black. Luis wasn't too happy when I told him that I was going with black dresses but when he seen what it looked like with the bow he changed his mind. You will see what their bouquets are going to look like as well just minus the ribbons.

Wedding Dress
Everything I could of asked for!
UPDATE!
I am thinking about making my own jewelry for my dress.... I have posted a few ideas. When I get a chance I am going to go to the bead store to look at the beads to see if there is something that I might want to add. I have made plenty of my own jewelry so if I don't like the way that this one turns out then I will just keep it and wear it for something else, like rehearsal dinner maybe. A reason that I want a crystal necklace is because the bouquet that I have is made from crystals and ribbon. When I get my camera hooked back up to my computer I will post a picture of the bouquet. You wouldn't believe that I did not even try this dress on. I was looking at wedding dresses online and found this one. I found the dress on a website out of New York and it was like $1200 dollars. I didn't care because when I seen it I fell in love with it. There was no question that this was going to be the dress that I was going to wear at my wedding! I went to Maggie Sotteros website and found some places that sold her line. Come to find out that they were discontinuing this style and no one was carrying it. Well I ordered it any way. I KNEW that this was THE dress. When it came in I couldnt have been more right! I can't wait to take pictures in it, dance in it, and of course walk down the isle in it!!! I also posted a picture of Carrie with the hair style that I want. I am using my soon to be sister in laws tiara as something borrowed. And I am still looking for a veil! |

Wedding Decoration
Centerpiece
UPDATE!!!
I found what I am going to use for the small tables. I just ordered these black candleabras. The flowers didn't come with it so I am going to take it to my local florist and have them show me a way that I should decorate them! I LOVE THESE VOTIVES!!! For the price of the set I really didn't care that it came with a stand. Besides, I figured that after the wedding I can take the votives off the tree branches put them back on the stand and give them as thank you gifts to people who helped out with the wedding. So they realy serve as a double purpose. My idea is to have Manzanita branches and hang white votives off of it. I will pin white orchids on the tree as well. If you look at the picture of trees you will see the middle picture. I am getting my inspiration from this picture. However I am adding the votives. I like how you can not see what the branches are in becuase it is covered with flowers. I would like to do the same with the flowers that I am going to use for the wedding! These will go on the 20 big tables. I will have a total of 32 tables so I need to think of something to do on the other 12. Any ideas??? |

Hope all goes well!!!
My Wedding is fast approaching!
![]() Oh how time flys... Luis first proposed on March 27th 2007. We were in no hurry to start planning a wedding because we had only been dating for 6 months. However we went to high school together so it is not like we just met! We moved in together and then found out that we were expecting in Aug 2007. Our son was born on May 22, 08. I had always wanted our wedding to be Labor Day weekend becuase that was the weekend we had went on our first official date! I was going to go on ahead a set the date for September 1st 2008 because 4 months would have passed after my son was born and I figured that I would have lost my weight by then. Well things changed because not only were I pregnant but so was my 2 soon to be sister in laws. So I wanted my wedding to part of its on so I decided once again to hold off. Well the time has come and I have been planning like there is no tomorrow. I was going to chose Labor Day weekend but I am from such a small town that there is only one place to have a reception so that weekend was taken. So I decided on Memorial Day weekend. This ended up falling on the day after my sons 1st Birthday! So, here I am ready to tell all of you what to expect on my up coming nuptials. |
