Target and Michael's
I found the flower girl basket with the flower confetti from Michaels and it's in my color so it's perfect!
The guest book is too cute not to crazy about the pen but hey why break up a matching pair. Found those at Target. The bubbles are going to be used instead of the seed thing (I am totally against that). Along with that I found the favor boxes. Not sure exactly what I want to put in them yet though. Both are from Target. The glasses and the cake server are from Target and are cheaper in the bundle then just the glasses from Wal-mart. The garter is my something blue and it's from Victoria's Secret!! The ring pillow is from Michaels, simple yet cute, but I think I want to find ribbon to match my colors to incoroporate with it. The aisle runner is also from Michaels along with a short page on how to add your monogram to it, which I think is a great idea. So yeah that's what my search has yielded. I am so happy I am starting early. Weird thought though, is it wrong to start planning when I am not offically engaged, but we have talked about it, planning on it, and even set a date? |

Invitation
So expensive!
"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails" - 1 Corinthians 13:7-8
Sorry everyone but I have to rant a little, I am not made of money but apparently you have to be to have a wedding. I have been searching for invitations for over a week now and the one thing I have found is that every single one is outragously expensive. I mean its fine if you are having a small, small get together then the prices are sort of resonable, but have 200 guest and the total (including thank you cards and respond cards) is $358! I even thought, "Wal-mart has cute invitations, I bet they are in my price range", no not even close! The invitations are import, yes, as are the respond cards, but I can get the thank you cards from Wal-mart and that would drop my price by $97. So okay, not so bad, but still you get the things in the mail and still have to pay to get them printed up. I wish I could have founded the wedding plan idea, or even the invitations, I would be making mega bucks right now!!! |

Idea's in the making
Who actual stays under budget?
Seriously, who actual stays under budget? Don't get me wrong I know there should be a limit, but why set it low when you know you are going to go over? My FI and I were discussing that neither one of us come from rich families, so, we decided that since I had found the dress I want and everything just kind of falling into place so early that we will let the budget kind of follow. It's like we know the price of the biggest parts of our wedding so we can start saving now for a wedding in two years. Hopefully I can say that I came under budget, but then again, I do like to spend money! Anyways everything is falling perfect lets just hope it stays that way.

Cake
Who knew? False tiers
Cake!!! I am a sweets kind of person, so, lets just say picking my wedding cake is a piece of cake! I know I am too funny, anyways!?! I have found two cake designs that I love. One of them is a simple square cake design with 6 round cakes surrounding it. This idea is awesome. The center stripe on the wedding cake would be orange and the round cakes would alternate blue and orange. Then there could be more than just one flavor of cake. This idea is awesome.
The other cake is a simple (design looks more than simple just to clarify) round cake, but it has the blue and orange together. The blue would have to be a little brighter though. I am just not sure, I am really leaning towards the first cake described a lot more then I am this one. |

Every bride-to-be should do this
www.DavidsBridal.com
While looking at dresses at David's Bridal website; I found this thing where you can literally see what your wedding party will look like. Now I didn't prefer the dresses I choose, but I was mainly doing this for the colors to see how well they did look together. So every bride who is interested if you go to www.davidsbridal.com and click on the tab that says "Dress Your Wedding" and choose either the tutorial to show you how its done, or create a login and have fun. My results are the picture to your left. It was so much fun!
Just a quick question that I am really not sure about, hopefully someone can help....should the flower girl match the color I have on, or the bridesmaid? And should the groom and ring bear wear the same colors as the groomsman? If so which color blue or orange? Need someone else's opinion please. |

Bridesmaids/Flower Girl Dresses
Tangelo and Pool
Alfred Angelo is one of my favorite dress designers. Not only did I find the perfect wedding dress, but I also found the bridesmaid and flower girl dress. I was able to see the dress in the color I picked out, but I couldn't change the color of the sash which sort of sucked in a way, but hey I will get over it.
So the Tangelo Orange is going to be the dress color and the Pool Blue will be the color of the sash for both the bridesmaid’s dresses and the flower girl dress. |

Wedding Dress
Perfect
So it took a few websites and I looked at a lot of dresses before I found the "PERFECT" one. It is gorgeous!!! The front of it is absolutely amazing and the back is so detailed. I could only get one picture with the color I am going to use, but at least I got that!
This dress is an Alfred Angelo dress. The color I am going to be in, the color of the back of the dress, is called Pool Blue. The wedding itself will be Pool Blue and Tangelo Orange. Sounds funny but they are really pretty together. |
