Sunday was a lovely day here in the ATL.
Dee and I met with one of our photographers, Ashley Taylor, downtown at Atlantic Station. It was near sunset and the breeze was blowing nice and cool. Ashley was right on time, 7:00pm on the dot. Her assistant named Randi was there also.
Randi is one of my most loyal and amazing bridesmaids. We have been friends for several years now and I consider her a really good friend. She's into the arts and crafts of different mediums. She came to assist in the photo shoot and study us, so that she can create our wedding gift. I'm really looking forward to seeing her work. Creative gifts from the heart are always the best because their so personal. It's touching.
Ashley began with us at Cafe Nineteen. Of course in order to sit there, even to take pictures, we had to buy drinks. Their overpriced and watery drinks didn't keep us there for long. Then, we moved through Atlantic Station. We stopped and took photos at the park, down pathways, on benches, at the ice cream shop, over the bridge, on the streets with the tall buildings and antique looking street lamps. We did a lot of walking, talking, posing, and having fun.
Ashley Taylor is a very professional photographer. She let Dee and I be ourselves and shine through her camera lens with our own personalities. She did not try to make us behave like anyone else but ourselves. When we seemed to get a bit tired she kept on encouraging us to smile and told us how great we looked together as a couple as well as individually. She kept our spirits up as Dee and I continued to have fun throughout the photo shoot.
After Atlantic Station we moved on to 14th Street. On 14th Street there's a "secret spot" where at the top of this clandestine place we could see the whole skyline of Atlanta. We could see from Midtown to Lenox and from the Georgia Dome to Coca Cola. The lit up satellites and soft yellow dim light gives the whole scene its own glowing and curious atmosphere. Needless to say, we did get lots of beautiful shots up there.
Not many others know about it, as we do. I dare not tell too many people or this nighttime enchanting spot will be swarmed with romantic hopefuls.
All in all it was a fun, professional, romantic, and comfortable photo shoot. Dee and I are very happy with how most of the photos turned out. Ashley is great!
Ashley Taylor is accepting new clients here in the Atlanta area. Her prices are so low you won't believe what we paid for our photo shoot. You won't believe it so I won't tell you LOL But you can email her and ask her for yourself if you're looking to get some professional photos done. If you like what you see don't hesitate to contact her at: ash.marie053@gmail.com
Ashley may even give you a free photo shoot if you tell her "Felicia" recommended you through this blog. Don't miss out!
There are tons of pics, but I've decided to only share just a few pics here. I hope you enjoy. What do you think?
Thanks for checking out my blog :-)
I really loved the one where he's kissing your hand and you're looking at him all googly-eyed. How sweet!
I really enjoyed looking @ your pics! They came out really nice! I'm so glad you were able to find a great photographer. You're using her for the wedding too right?
P.S.* Really off the subject, but your posts are so detailed and fun! I love reading them. Are you writer of sorts? If not, you should be! I know this might sound weird, but when reading your post, I thought about you being a great secret shopper. I do it for fun mostly, and when they ask,the companies always want a detailed report. Basically what I just read is perfect!
Are you a secret shopper? That's really neat. I've kind of wanted to do that, just out of curiosity, because I like to try new things. Even if it's just once.
Thank you again.
Very happy for you!!
Yes, I do mystery shopping and I will tell you it's not for the money. ;) I do it to try new things or use for places we already go. Mostly you'll get reimbursed, so like if we're already going bowling, it's like I'm doing it for free! LOVE IT! I do restaurants also. Just did one for an ice cream shop..wonderful for a hot day here! lol. So its really for fun. you just have to fill out the report online and upload receipts. Some ask for really detailed info, like what was cashier wearing , hairstyle etc, did they greet you, what did they say, etc. You should try it after your wedding and honeymoon is over of course! Let me know.
Kendra, that is so cool! It sounds like a lot of fun. I've always wanted to do something like that just to try it and I like writing reviews and trying new things. It seems to be adventurous. I'd definitely like to try it, but I don't know how to even get into it. Email me the info dancepromo21@yahoo.com Thanks so much.
