soooo for our wedding favors I am making a C & C Wedding Soundtrack :c)...basically the music we are using for all the major parts of the wedding/reception...I made our own lables and even though we will have 70 people at the wedding I am only going to probably make just one per family so about 40 of them...then on the table by the guest book (we are having them sign a matte frame instead) I will have the CD's in a file by last name that will also inform them what table they will be sitting at for the Reception.
I think it adds a nice personal memory of our wedding even if they dont like our song choices :c) here is our song list so far...but still undecisive which I know is bad since its only 10 days till our wedding aaack...but they WILL be completed this Sunday for sure :c) Bridal Party song - Katie Melua - Just like Heaven 3:34 Bride Enterance song - Beatles - In My Life 2:25 Sand Ceremony - John Schmidt - Love Story Viva la Vida 6:36 ....maybe Ceremony Conclusion Song - Bandaged Together - All you need is Love 3:32 First Dance - Adam Sandler - Grow Old With You - (Edited down) Bride & Father Dance - Heartland - I loved her first - 3:37...aack too long might have you fade out early :cD Bouquet Toss - Beyonce - "Single Ladies" - 3:20 Garter Toss - Queen - "Another one bites the dust" Cake Cutting - Nadia Faye - "Honeycomb" Send off Song - Black Eyed Pea - "I gotta feelin" the only 2 im still contemplating is the sand ceremony song...and the send off song...the rest are pretty set in stone...they said pick a personal song for the sand ceremony buuut all our songs that have meaning are really upity type songs not really for a wedding haha...hrmph |

charles took the flowers i picked out and made my bouquet...i really wanted to cute fuzzy looking flowers to give it a cute texture look and i knew we wouldnt find real flowers like that so we used fake ones...he did a really good job with it and I am happy with how it turned out!

cupcake tower is almost done!!
the cup cake tower is complete except I am going to line the wood with pink ribbon I think....and we are going to touch up a couple parts with paint....I will say it wasnt as easy to make as we origionally thought...the hardest part was cutting the PVC evenly...If Charles dad didnt have an industrial laser type saw then I dont think we would have managed...we tried a table saw, hack saw and it was impossible to get an even cut with average tools like that. So if you attempt it keep that in mind :c) Also we used a 3' rod instead of the suggested 6' rod...we did a couple tweeks here and there :c)
Im excited to see it with all the cupcakes at the wedding...our cake lady will be making them based on the other 2 photos...:c) we used fabric instead of what looks like wrapping paper that they used so that it wouldnt have the reflection glare look for photos... you can be a diy bride...more like diy groom haha... http://themeckleys.com/blog/2009/01/giant-diy-cupcake-stand/ or buy one for $300+$175 for shipping! eeeek... http://www.artfire.com/modules.php?name=Shop&op=listing&product_id=809899 |

so i didnt get an aisle runner so instead im using candle light to light the wedding aisle with pedals running along it...i have 4 10" cylinder vases and 6 8" that I am going to alternate with down the aisle like this....

So I ordered my garter...I could not decide whether to get the shocking pink or the hot pink....I know the colors probably look different in person then on the internet so I was going back and forth and I didnt want to wait too long so I decided on the shocking pink...I think it will just be a little more dramatic against the damask...i dont think I will have a ring bearer so I didnt order the matching pillow to this...

Charles has his suit and my dress is almost finished, just a couple more small alterations...I copied and pasted 2 camera phone pictures of them both next to each other :c) the lady who made the dress did a good job doing it like the oscar de la renta one I showed her that reminded me of the audrey hepburn wedding dress but because I am pettite I didnt think the tea length would suit me so I went for a knee length and charles will have the damask tie with the chucks to add to the vintage look, he got his suit, pants and jacket with a vest for $200 at macys its a perry ellis suit and it looked really snazzy on him...i didnt realize how expensive suits were and we got a bargain! :c) and because its a nice suit and not a tux he can wear it still for other occasions :c) i dont have the dress yet but once I do I am going to try and see how adding some little gloves might look or if that is adding too much...
i like how she did the waist up a little higher so it gives the impression that my legs are longer then they really are :c) cause the photo had a drop waist which i think the dress lady used good judgement based on my non super model legs and heigth and did a higher waist instead... |

After scooooouring the internet I fiiiinally found a coat...I almost bought one off those china wholesale sites because I couldnt find the style I wanted...but I was nervous and coming from china it might not get here soon enough...
I finally found one on Ebay...I didnt realize how hard this style would be to find...I really wanted 3/4 sleeves so I could wear some little gloves in combination with it to stick with the vintage look of my dress and veil... The coat in the picture is off Ebay but by Anthropologie...it was new with tags but of course i couldnt try it on...the bubble bottom didnt look good with my dress and even though it was a small it looked too big on me because i am short and petite...so i am getting it altered.... it was really hard finding a 3/4 inch sleve dress coat that I liked so I am going to go ahead and stick with this one since my wedding is in 12 days! aah...i ordered a damask one i thought might look good of windsorstore.com but it was a cheap looking material and once again looked too big.... this gosh darn winter wedding coat buisiness is costing too much! |
